Awayke 1.7.0

• "Update now" in Settings > About (Mac and Windows). It downloads the newest version, checks its
  fingerprint, replaces the app, and opens the new one. Awayke checks once a day and offers it;
  if it was keeping your Mac awake, it keeps doing so after the update.
• Stable download names: Awayke-mac.zip and Awayke-windows.zip (just the app inside), so
  releases/latest/download/<name> always gives the newest version.

• The menu bar candle sways with almost no CPU use.

Awayke 1.6.0

Added

• Lid closed (Mac): the keyboard light goes off, dark mode comes on and Low Power Mode comes on.
  Each has its own switch in Settings > Lid, all on by default, and all go back when the lid opens.
• Pause Docker Desktop while the lid is closed when no container is running (off by default).
• Low Power Mode below a battery level you choose (40% by default) and heat safety: Low Power Mode
  when the Mac is very hot, switch off when it is dangerously hot.
• Network section: join your iPhone hotspot when the Wi-Fi drops (password kept in your keychain)
  and type "continue" into marked tmux panes after a long outage. Both off by default.
• The one-time permission now also covers pmset -a lowpowermode 0|1; Awayke asks once.

Fixed

• The menu bar candle no longer turns upside down for a moment while it sways. The candle is now
  drawn in place instead of swapping the button picture.

Awayke 1.5.0

New features inspired by Insomnia by Krish Garg (MIT licence). Awayke's own look stays the same.

Added

• Add 30 min button next to the countdown while a timer runs (Mac and Windows).
• Timers can now be up to 30 days long (Mac and Windows).
• A notice 5 minutes before the timer ends, so you can add time (Mac and Windows; can be turned off).
• Time left shown next to the menu bar icon (Mac, optional) and in the tray icon's hover text (Windows).
• New Lid section in Settings on Mac. While Awayke is on and the lid is closed it can:
  turn the screen and keyboard light off, mute the sound, pause the apps you choose
  (Slack, WhatsApp and Discord to start with) or every other app. Everything goes back when
  the lid opens, when Awayke switches off or quits, and at the next start after a crash.
  Editors, terminals, browsers, AI apps, Apple apps and meeting or recording apps are never paused.
• Keep terminals, editors and AI apps out of App Nap while Awayke is on (Mac, off by default).
• Spots Chrome, Arc, Edge, Brave or Comet slowing hidden pages and offers to relaunch them so pages keep working with the lid closed (Mac).
• Check for updates in Settings (Mac and Windows). It asks GitHub only when you click and installs nothing.
• An activity log of what Awayke did, kept on your Mac and readable only by you (Settings > About > Show activity log).

Changed

• Turn off at low battery now has its own switch and is off by default (Mac and Windows). It only matters if you leave the Mac on battery with the lid shut for a long time.

Removed

• The "On battery, safety net on" status text and the "Turn off in Low Power Mode" setting.

  one sway period, it pauses while the screens sleep, and the candle is re-seated on wake and on display changes.

Awayke 1.4.0

Changed

• Renamed the app to Awayke (it was briefly called Insomnia during development). The
  app installs as Awayke.app; build.sh, install.sh and uninstall.sh now use that
  name. The bundle identifier (com.aboudjem.Sleepless), the internal executable name and
  the permission file /etc/sudoers.d/sleepless-disablesleep are unchanged, so existing
  installs, saved settings and the one-time permission keep working.
• New, simpler app icon: one clean flame with a soft cut-out core.
• Choosing Quit while the panel is open now folds the panel away with its normal close
  animation before the app quits, instead of it vanishing abruptly.
• Documentation rewritten for Awayke (English only; the translated READMEs from Sleepless
  were out of date and have been removed). Security reports now go through GitHub's
  private vulnerability reporting.
• CI now compiles every Swift source file, not only App.swift.
