SpaceSharp 2.5.1
A small release, six labels that a long translation cut off, found by running the app through all eighteen languages and fixed in every one of them.
What is fixed
SpaceSharp speaks eighteen languages, and some of them need twice the room English does. "Delete all saved scans" is 268 pixels in French and had 193. The new release went looking for every case like it: a layout check runs the app on the pretend PC through 25 screens and dialogs, at the default and the smallest window size, left-to-right and mirrored, in each language, and lists any text wider than its box. It found six, all fixed:
- Settings › Behavior: the Delete all saved scans button takes the room its label needs; the slider above it keeps its size.
- Settings › Text: the Show file count switch label (and its neighbors) no longer stops short in Dutch, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish or Ukrainian.
- Settings › Layout: the Horizontal label under the bias slider was clipped in Russian and Ukrainian; the end labels take what they need and "Equal" centers between them.
- Settings › Map: the filter layout dropdown ("Drawer above the map") is sized for its widest entry, so German, Italian and Turkish read whole.
- Toolbar: the Color by dropdown is sized the same way, so "File type" fits in French, Spanish and Portuguese. Both dropdowns are measured once for every entry, so they never change width when the selection changes.
- Insights: the four age chips (This month, This year, 1 to 3 years, Older) went too narrow for their sizes when the view had room for four cards across; they go two by two in a narrow card now. In the "Oldest largest" rows an Arabic date has its column.
Nothing else changed. Your settings, saved scans and custom palettes carry over untouched.
Under the hood
The check is in the box for anyone building from source: .\tools\layout-audit.ps1 runs the whole sweep unattended and writes one report per language; Ctrl+Shift+Alt+L runs it on the window in front of you, and Ctrl+Shift+Alt+R mirrors the window the way a right-to-left language does. DEVELOPING.md has the details, and the full list of changes is in [CHANGELOG.md](https://github.com/SpaceSharpApp/SpaceSharp/blob/2.5.1/CHANGELOG.md).
Installing and updating. Installed copies get this release through the in-app update prompt. New here? SpaceSharp-win-x64-Setup.exe installs per user and updates itself; the MSI goes wherever you point it; SpaceSharp-win-x64.exe is the portable one-file build that never updates itself. 32-bit Windows takes the win-x86 files.
