1.0.2

This release doesn't change how the game plays, and your saves are unaffected. It adds test coverage for what players see on screen, so there's no need to update unless you want the latest version.

Changes

  • Testing: Tests now cover the on-screen prompts, the art shown before each decision, the exit message at every ending, the save confirmation, and starting over from a save file containing only whitespace (#43).

Version

1.0.1 → 1.0.2 — PATCH. Mechanical floor from comparing the save schemas, the save format, the save code, the kit pin and new source files: PATCH.
Judgment: Session: Tally. The only source changes are in tests/test_maincode.py, plus the version.txt bump to a snapshot, so no game code, scenes, commands or save handling changed. The new tests check existing prompts, ending text and save behaviour without adding anything for players. Saves written by 1.0.1 load and behave exactly as before, so the patch floor stands.

  • no save, kit-pin or new-file difference observed

Verification

Verified before publication; this tag points at the exact commit that was verified.

  • CI checks on this exact commit, all green: build.
  • save-compatibility gate run: saves written by 1.0.1 were read by this release twice with every file byte-identical, and a new save was added beside them without touching them (11 assertions passed).

What the checks cover: python-release-gates.

1.0.1

A small maintenance update. When you play in the browser, the game page now has a link back to the arcade hall. Gameplay, scenes, endings and saves are unchanged from 1.0.0.

Changes

  • Browser play: updated the bundled text-adventure kit, which adds a link from the game page back to the arcade hall (#38).

Version

1.0.0 → 1.0.1 — PATCH. Mechanical floor from comparing the save schemas, the save format, the save code, the kit pin and new source files: PATCH.
Judgment: The only player-facing change is a bump of the pinned tak kit (#38), which rebuilds the browser bundle with a link from the game page back to the arcade hall; it adds no scenes, endings, modes or save data. #39 adds a test and documentation confirming that an unlisted answer ends the game without touching the existing save, which is unchanged 1.0.0 behaviour. Save format and save code are unchanged, so the patch floor stands.

  • no save, kit-pin or new-file difference observed

  • save-compatibility gate run: saves written by 1.0.0 were read by this release twice with every file byte-identical, and a new save was added beside them without touching them (11 assertions passed).
