   • Upgraded edm-nmh with native wake handler and structured error reporting.
   • Desktop app automatically ensures the latest edm-nmh.exe is copied to %LOCALAPPDATA%\EDM and registers registry manifests on launch.
   • Added active NMH ping health checks in the browser extension background service with actionable status feedback.

2. Lifecycle & Background Persistence:

   • Resolved premature desktop process termination on window close via Tao RunEvent::ExitRequested cancellation (�pi.prevent_exit()).
   • The background listener and WebSocket server persist safely while the window is closed, honoring the 30-minute idle exit timeout.

3. Memory Optimization:

   • Disabled window transparency ( ransparent(false)) and eliminated heavy �ackdrop-filter: blur(16px) render passes on panel layers, dramatically reducing WebView2 DirectComposition swapchain overhead.
   • Bound window blur/focus events to pause CSS keyframe animations when the application is unfocused or hidden.

4. Transparent Error Reporting:

   • Propagated error reason strings (error_msg) through SQLite store, IPC, WebSocket snapshots, and the UI.
   • Expired links and HTTP 400/403/410 errors surface descriptive tooltip reasons instead of generic retry loops.
