What's New

atk git — Git proxy command

Run any git command in your ATK Home directory without navigating to it:

atk git remote add origin git@github.com:user/dotfiles-atk.git
atk git push
atk git pull
atk git log --oneline -5
atk git status

All arguments are passed through to git verbatim. Stdin/stdout/stderr are not captured — interactive commands work.

auto_push configuration

New manifest config parameter that automatically pushes after every auto-commit:

config:
  auto_commit: true
  auto_push: true # new — default: false
  • Only effective when auto_commit is also true
  • Push failures warn but never fail the mutation (the commit already succeeded)
  • If no remote is configured, prints a helpful warning

Enhanced atk status — Repository section

atk status now shows a Repository section after the plugin table:

Repository:
  Branch: main
  Remote:      origin -> git@github.com:user/dotfiles-atk.git
  Sync: 2 ahead, 0 behind
Last commit: Add plugin 'sasha-rules' (2m ago)
  Working dir: clean

Gracefully handles: no remote ((none)), no tracking branch, dirty working directory, empty repo.

Upgrade

pip install --upgrade atk-cli
# or
uv tool upgrade atk-cli

After upgrading, your existing manifest.yaml works as-is — auto_push defaults to false.
