SweaxClip v1.5.5
SweaxClip 1.5.5
- Browsing glides. The list used to jump by a whole row at a time while you moved through it, which looked like a few frames a second. It now glides on a spring, keeps up with a held arrow key, and the mouse wheel glides too.
- Drawn by the graphics card all the way. The panel is no longer a layered window, whose every frame had to be copied back from the graphics card — slow at high refresh rates or with games, live wallpapers and overlays running.
- Opens over Windows' own surfaces. Task View, the notification centre and the snipping overlay are closed first, like Start and Search, and the panel is raised above any other always-on-top window that covers it.

- Pastes where you are typing. The panel no longer takes focus from the app below, so its text cursor stays put and the clip lands right there — in web forms, chat boxes and search fields too.
- Opens at once, moves smoothly. About 20–40 ms to open (it could take seconds) and the screen's full refresh rate while you browse.
- Win+V answers every time. The keyboard hook re-installs itself every 20 seconds and no longer waits behind memory clean-ups while you use the PC.
- Typing in the open panel goes to its search box (AltGr characters too); Alt+Tab and Alt+F4 still work; a click elsewhere closes it.

- When a shortcut recorder gets a single ordinary key, the note now names it and says why it can't stand alone. A macro key with nothing recorded on it sends a plain key (F1 on many gaming keyboards); record a combination on it first, or a single Pause or Scroll Lock, which work alone.

SweaxClip 1.5.2 — macro keys
- Shortcuts from macro keys. Keys sent by macro software and keyboard drivers used to be ignored, so a macro key that pressed the shortcut did nothing. They count now; only the keys SweaxClip sends itself are skipped.
- Record the panel shortcut. Settings → General → Shortcut: click it and press the keys, or press a macro key that sends a combination (it used to be a list of three choices). The same works for Copy text from screen.
- F13–F24, Pause, Scroll Lock and the launch keys can be a shortcut on their own. Macro apps that run programs can use
SweaxClip.exe --toggleand--grab.

SweaxClip 1.5.1 — pasting works in every text box
- Notepad, Word and the rest. Picking a clip pasted into browsers but not into apps whose text box is a separate control, such as Notepad. SweaxClip now waits until the text box you came from has focus again (and puts it back itself if the app doesn't) before it pastes. Text, images and files alike.
- Text copied from the screen is kept. Text read with Win + Shift + T now lands in your history too, labelled Text from screen.
- Ctrl+V is sent with real keyboard scan codes, and memory is handed back to Windows after a screen grab.

SweaxClip 1.5.0 — copy text from screen
- Text you can't select. Press Win + Shift + T, drag a box over the text in a picture, a paused video, a shared slide, an error dialog or a game, and it is on your clipboard. The screen freezes while you select, every monitor works, and Esc or a right-click cancels. A note beside the box shows how many words were copied.
- Read on your PC by the Windows OCR engine, in the languages installed in Windows. Dark-mode text is cleaned up before reading.
- Any shortcut you like. Settings → General → Copy text from screen: click the shortcut and press your keys, or turn it off. Also in the tray menu and as
SweaxClip.exe --grab.

SweaxClip 1.3 — a new Win + V panel.
- A timeline you can read at a glance. Every clip shows its content; the time it was copied runs down a rail. The selected clip opens on a spring: more text, a real image preview with the text read from it, more code, the full address of a link, and the app it came from.
- Works over Start and Search. If Start or Windows Search is open when you press the shortcut, SweaxClip closes it, opens above the taskbar and pastes your pick into Search.
- Search marks the matching words; the panel glides to the size of the results.
- Dark mode is dark all the way, including the library's cards.

- The deck: Win + V deals your history as a deck of cards, exactly where Windows opens its own panel. Arrow keys flip through it; Enter throws the card at your text cursor.
- Every clip is an object: paper for text, the site's colour for links, slate for code, the colour itself, prints for images, a bezel with crop marks for screenshots, a manila folder for files.
- The library is a desk: click any card to pick it up and see it whole, with the text found in it.
- New palette, icons and app icon.
