Tm Visualization Suite 2.3.1

Tm Visualization Suite 2.3.1 for Qlik Cloud Analytics. A minor release for 2.2.1. Version 2.3.0 was tagged and never published; this release carries all of its changes and fixes a Hierarchy Explorer load loop found before 2.3.0 was drafted.

What changed

• Hierarchy Explorer colours and borders. A Custom colors color mode (Color 1 to Color 8) and a Cell borders setting (Theme, None, Thin, Medium, with a color) in Appearance, and the same choices in the Styling panel's Chart tab, which wins when set. Unset settings keep the theme look, so saved objects do not change.
• Master item colors. In Auto color mode, Hierarchy Explorer colors its branches with the value colors of a master dimension.
• Custom colors in more families. Comparison Charts, Distribution Explorer, Multivariate Explorer, Relationship Explorer and Temporal Patterns also offer the Custom colors mode.
• Reference line. The Cleveland dot plot takes an optional Reference line measure: one value for the whole chart, drawn as a dashed line (for example a target or an average). The line does not select.
• Number formats. Axis ticks and values follow the measure's own number pattern and separators; a format the author chose is kept.
• Master items. Data roles dropdowns name master dimensions and measures, and master items keep their library link in every family.
• Fixes. A Hierarchy Explorer object without saved state could reload in a loop and show "Loading hierarchy". Waffle and Unit chart objects save their state on first load. Sunburst ring labels never end on a separator; the State transition diagram keeps counts off the nodes.
• Product docs. Every extension archive carries its end-user docs (English).
• License package 1.2.4.

Evidence

Every demo sheet of the three demo apps and the atlas was rendered on the 2.3.1 build in the light and the dark theme at sheet size: 241 of 244 suite objects draw data; the other 3 show a designed refusal state at demo size (the same three as in 2.2.1). The atlas build primed all 84 suite objects, and all 57 objects that keep derived state saved it. Each new setting was also set on a copy of an atlas object and rendered in light and dark: Hierarchy Custom colors, Cell borders, the Styling Chart tab Marks entry and master dimension value colours; Custom colors in Comparison, Distribution, Multivariate, Relationship and Temporal; the Cleveland reference line (10 of 10 draw as set). Known gaps: the Temporal Streamgraph does not use the color modes, and the Dumbbell applies custom colors to its connectors only. The full local test gate passed. Not verified on the tenant: hover and selection behaviour, screen reader use, and performance above demo size.

The atlas has 11 sheets, all published (0 private), and covers all ten extensions. Sheet publish state is not stored in an exported app file, so the count was checked on the tenant at export time.

Tm Visualization Suite 2.2.1

Tm Visualization Suite 2.2.1 for Qlik Cloud Analytics. A minor release for 2.1.6. Version 2.2.0 was prepared and never published; this release carries all of its changes.

What changed

• New modes. Spatial Explorer: H3 cell map (Qlik aggregates the measure per H3 cell, so averages and rates stay correct) and Bivariate cell map (two measures, nine colours). Distribution Explorer: Q-Q plot. Process Explorer: Dotted chart.
• Waffle and Unit chart marks. Composition: a Mark shape setting draws the units as circles, people, bars and other glyphs. Stacked 100 can centre its bars on a neutral answer (Likert).
• More chart settings. Axis title, sort order, legend, palette and value labels where a family lacked them: Comparison (Dumbbell arrows, Dumbbell and Range plot order), Distribution, Temporal, Process (time axis controls, lane order), Hierarchy (sibling order, palette, legend), Relationship (category key, matrix value labels, Alluvial node order), Multivariate (Correlation matrix order) and Spatial (scale bar, bubble cells, value labels). Every setting defaults to the earlier look, so saved objects do not change.
• Label fitting. A new setting for Sunburst, Radial dendrogram, Icicle, Circle packing, Dendrogram, Adjacency matrix, Chord, Arc, State transition counts, Violin captions and Scatterplot matrix titles: Off (default), Fit, Fit more. A label is rotated, wrapped, made smaller or cut after a whole word. It is never cut inside a word, and the full name stays in the tooltip.
• Keyboard and selection. The Dotted chart and the Bivariate legend keep keyboard focus after a selection. Distribution Explorer selections now go through the Qlik selection toolbar, like the other families. Waffle and Unit key entries use their natural width.
• License package 1.2.2.
• Atlas. The Visualization atlas shows the new modes and the person-mark Waffle, with Use-case texts.

Evidence

All suite objects in the three demo apps and the atlas were measured in the light and the dark theme at sheet size: 248 of 248 have no Blocker or Major finding. Every machine-flagged object and every new object was reviewed by eye. The measurement was repeated on the 2.2.1 build: 248 of 248 suite objects have no Blocker or Major finding, and 250 charts were read with no data error. Minor findings remain (for example, a blank band under the Dotted chart notice, and the two-line edge counts of the state transition diagram near a box). Not verified: hover and selection inside the tenant, screen reader use, and performance above demo size.

The atlas has 11 sheets, all published (0 private), and covers all ten extensions. Sheet publish state is not stored in an exported app file, so the count was checked on the tenant at export time.

Tm Visualization Suite 2.1.6 for Qlik Cloud Analytics. A patch release for 2.1.5.

What changed

• Names are cut at word boundaries. In very small slopegraph panels, store names are shortened with an ellipsis at a word boundary instead of in the middle of a word, and the full name stays in the tooltip and on selection. Sunburst ring labels follow the same rule: a label shows whole words, or whole words and an ellipsis, and a label whose first word does not fit is left out (its arc keeps its tooltip and legend colour).
• State transition counts stay readable. Edge counts in Process Explorer's state transition diagram are drawn above the boxes on a background, and a count that a box would cover moves along its edge to a clear spot.
• Listing pictures. Two pictures on the Site and the family mosaic were refreshed to show the changes.
• Atlas. The app title and description name the release version.

Evidence

All 79 atlas objects and the demo app objects were measured in the light and the dark theme at sheet size, and every machine-flagged object was reviewed by eye: 240 of 240 measured objects have no Blocker or Major finding. Minor findings remain (for example, one state transition count over a box name in the light theme, and some sunburst rings without a label in the dark theme).

Tm Visualization Suite 2.1.5

Tm Visualization Suite 2.1.5 for Qlik Cloud Analytics. A patch release for 2.1.3 (2.1.4 was prepared and withdrawn before release).

What changed

• Slopegraph stage headings stay readable in narrow panels. In small multiples with a wide theme font, the two stage headings of a panel overlapped. They now keep the distinguishing part whole (for example 2025 and 2026) and shrink a little before they are cut.
• State transition names stay whole. Process Explorer's state transition diagram used boxes that were too small for a long chain of states, so most names were cut. Long chains now stagger their layers over several rows, so names stay whole and the map fits the object.
• Alluvial labels no longer collide. Relationship Explorer's alluvial diagram priced its left labels as one line, but they wrap to two, and its plot ran under the footnote strip. Labels are now spaced by the lines they use, and the plot ends above the footnote.
• Atlas. The app title and description name the release version.
• Listing pictures. Three pictures on the Site (the Relationship Explorer alluvial, the Process Explorer state diagram and the family page strip) were refreshed to show the fixes.

Tm Visualization Suite 2.1.3 for Qlik Cloud Analytics. A patch release for 2.1.2.

What changed

• The visualization atlas draws every chart. In 2.1.2, 17 of the atlas's 79 charts (Composition, Variance & Targets, Temporal Patterns, Distribution Explorer and Process Explorer) stayed on "Loading data" or an error. All 79 draw with data now, in the light and the dark theme.
• The atlas names its version. The app title and description show the release number.

The extensions are unchanged from 2.1.2.

Atlas evidence

The atlas has 11 sheets, all published (0 private), and covers all ten extensions. All 79 suite objects were opened in the published app and drew data. An automated pass of the light and the dark theme found one object still loading; it was repaired and all 79 objects were opened again. Sheet publish state is not stored in an exported app file, so the count was checked on the tenant at export time.

Known limits: a few atlas charts still show overlapping or clipped labels in one of the themes (Adjacency matrix, Sunburst, Alluvial, Vertical bullet, Slopegraph); the extensions' License tab keeps its corner while the host size stays the same.
