v0.5.3
Which file do I download?
| file | who it is for | what it does |
|---|---|---|
transcript-normalizer-0.5.3-<system>-lite |
anyone who just wants to use it | fetches the platform's captions and fixes domain terms; opens a menu when double-clicked |
transcript-normalizer-0.5.3-<system>-full |
anyone who also has videos without captions, or audio files | everything lite does, and also transcribes audio on your computer (the first time, it downloads a 1.5 GB speech model). On Windows and macOS, a .zip: unzip, then open transcript-normalizer.exe inside the folder (transcript-normalizer on macOS) |
transcript_normalizer-0.5.3-py3-none-any.whl, .tar.gz |
Python developers | the package, for pip install |
<system> is windows, macos (Apple silicon) or linux; Linux executables run on glibc 2.35 or newer (Ubuntu 22.04 and later). The executables are not signed, so Windows and macOS will warn the first time; the SHA-256 of every file is at the end of this page.
Qual arquivo baixar?
| arquivo | para quem | o que faz |
|---|---|---|
transcript-normalizer-0.5.3-<sistema>-lite |
transcript_normalizer-0.5.3-py3-none-any.whl, .tar.gz |
Packaging (D-063), and four fixes from the last Windows run.
- The full executables for Windows and macOS are a folder, shipped as a zip (
transcript-normalizer-0.5.3-windows-full.zip): unzip, then opentranscript-normalizer.exeinside the folder (transcript-normalizeron macOS). As one file, the full build unpacked about 100 MB to a temporary folder on every start, which made it slow to open on Windows. lite stays one file, and so does Linux full. The release runner measureshelp's start time against 0.5.2's one-file build. - The Linux executables are built on Ubuntu 22.04 (glibc 2.35), so they run on 22.04-based systems such as Zorin 17; 0.5.2's needed the glibc of the newest runner.
- The file dialog opens on "All supported (audio, video, captions)"; the separate filters are still there.
- Automatic translations in the track list carry "(translations are rate-limited more often)".
- A chosen option is echoed by its label, without its description.
- Checked: when a pack does not fit, normalized.txt is written with the input's text, line for line (D-054); a test now says so.
