ISNE prioritizes historical plausibility over rigid accuracy. Names are anchored in authentic naval doctrines, ship class conventions, peacetime construction plans, and cultural/mythological traditions — then extrapolated to support full wartime campaigns, expanded navies, and alternate-history naval buildups.
Key features:
- Linguistic precision — native-language diacritics, proper grammatical cases, and authentic spelling throughout
- Gameplay scalability — dozens of unique entries per hull type with formatted fallback names
- Coverage breadth — destroyers, torpedo boats, submarines, light cruisers, heavy cruisers, battleships, battlecruisers, and carriers
