TEE Vanced PS3 v1.0.1
Tested on hardware (EVILNAT 4.92 DEX) before release. Full history in CHANGELOG.md.
Changed
TEE Vanced now installs beside Yo! Player instead of over it. Up to v1.0 the package used Yo! Player's title id (YOPLAYER1), so installing TEE Vanced replaced mohasi's Yo! Player. It now has its own title id, TEEV00001, and its own icon on the XMB.
Its data has folders of its own too (tee-vanced instead of yo-player). On the first start the app copies your subscriptions, playlists, Watch Later, history, settings, themes and the YouTube sign-in over from the old folders; the old files are left as they were.
Updating from v1.0 or earlier
- Install
TEE-Vanced-PS3-v1.0.1.pkg. A second icon, "TEE Vanced PS3 V1.0.1", appears. - Start the new one once - that is when your data is copied over.
- Then delete the old icon (the one that replaced Yo! Player). On some consoles the old data lives inside the old app's folder and goes with it, so do not delete it before step 2.
Everything else is as in v1.0.

TEE Vanced PS3 v1.0
Tested on hardware (EVILNAT 4.92 DEX) before release.
The first full release of TEE Vanced PS3: a new look, signing in to YouTube, a region for the lists and a page of live streams - and the fixes of v0.13.1, which never came out on its own.
Highlights
- Sign in to YouTube. For you (under Search) and Login (above Settings) show a code; type it at google.com/device on your phone - the PS3's own YouTube app signed in the same way, and your password never touches the console. Signed in you get your recommendations, your subscriptions as channels, Watch Later, History, Liked videos and your playlists, a real Subscribe button on every channel page, and an Account page with Sign out. Videos play without the account, as before.
- "Ember", the new look: a warm dark ground in TEE orange, the Manrope typeface, a four-column grid, a focus you can see from the sofa, the console's own button symbols and a redesigned player.
- Region: 33 countries for Trending, Live and the other lists.
- Live: streams that are on air now - Popular, Gaming, Sports, Podcasts, News and Music.
Please note: the sign-in is kept as plain text in account.txt in the app's data folder, so keep the console's FTP to yourself (webMAN's has no password unless you set one). The app signs in the way YouTube's TV app does, which is not an official way for other apps; Google may stop accepting it one day.
Everything in detail: CHANGELOG.md
Install: copy TEE-Vanced-PS3-v1.0.pkg to the console and install it with the Package Manager, over an earlier version - settings, subscriptions and playlists are kept.

TEE Vanced PS3 v0.13 beta
Tested on hardware (EVILNAT 4.92 DEX). Full history in CHANGELOG.md.
Fixed
Videos no longer play an AI dub instead of the original audio. YouTube serves more and more videos with extra audio tracks: the uploader's other languages, and AI auto-dubs. They are separate streams with the same format number, and the player simply took the last one YouTube listed, so a video could start in a machine voice in a language nobody asked for. On a video with many dubs the original could even drop out of the list, leaving a dub at 48 kbit/s. The player now recognises each audio track and plays the original. Downloads pick the same track.
Reported on PSX-Place as "Yo! Player plays AI generated audio on random videos". The same code is in Yo! Player, so it was never specific to this fork.
Where YouTube serves a dynamic-range-compressed copy of the audio beside the normal mix, the normal mix is now used.
Added
Square switches the audio track on a video that has more than one. Playback carries on from the same position, and the new track is named on screen. When such a video starts, a short notice shows which track is playing and how many there are. On every other video Square still toggles autoplay, as before (it is also in Settings).
Notes
Turn off any VPN on the console - YouTube answers LOGIN_REQUIRED through one and nothing plays.
If a video still plays the wrong language, the [yt] audio track lines in /dev_hdd0/dbg.txt list every track YouTube offered and which one was picked. Please include them in a report.

TEE Vanced PS3 v0.12 beta
Tested on hardware (EVILNAT 4.92 DEX). Full history in CHANGELOG.md.
Added
Your own playlists. There are no YouTube playlists to read or write without a signed-in account, so these are local — named lists kept on the console that nobody else can change. Up to 12 lists of 60 videos, stored in the same format the watch-later queue already uses.
- L3 files the selected video, from the home screen or search results. That button came free when the grid layout was removed in v0.11.
- The Playlists entry in the sidebar opens them: X opens a list as a feed, START creates one, Square deletes one behind a confirmation.
- An opened playlist is just another home feed, so paging, thumbnails and caching work exactly as everywhere else.
Fixed
Your settings were being reset on every launch. A helper that reads preferences coerced every value to 0 or 1. Harmless while the only settings were on/off flags — and quietly destructive once they were not. The SponsorBlock category masks are seven-bit values, so skip sponsors + self-promo + interaction (7) came back as 1 after a restart and only sponsors survived. The same clamp made the once-per-install subscription cleanup run on every single boot.
The skip-by-choice button acted on a stale frame. The offer was worked out after input was read, so on the first frame after leaving an "ask" segment, a Triangle press meant for subtitles would still run the skip and jump the video forward.

TEE Vanced PS3 v0.11 beta
First public beta. Installed and used on a real PS3 (EVILNAT 4.92) before release.
What it is: a YouTube client for the PS3, forked from mohasi's Yo! Player (Apache-2.0). The app, its decoder and its libraries are his work.
What this fork adds
- Left icon rail for every destination, so navigation no longer depends on remembering shoulder buttons. LEFT or O opens it.
- A settings screen. Upstream's options exist but can only be reached by editing settings.txt over FTP.
- SponsorBlock per category, three ways: skip automatically, show a button during the segment, or ignore.
- The PS button on a DualShock 4 / DualSense. Those pads work on a PS3 but their PS button never reaches the console. SELECT on the home screen and L3 during playback send it. Plain libpad LDD virtual-controller API - no plugin, no syscall. Every other known user of that API is a VSH plugin; this looks like the first from a game.
- Watch-progress bars, Continue watching and a browsable history, all from a resume position that was stored but never shown.
- Unsubscribe straight from the subscriptions list, real pages instead of endless scrolling, the app's own search history, autoplay, chapter skipping.

Playlists are built but untested on hardware; they live on the playlists branch until they have been.
