v0.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 05 Nov 03:43

Music 0.2.1 adds single-track and album discs, configurable jukebox presets and Follow Player playback for BDS 1.26.60.6 / protocol 2225 / Endstone 0.11.15.

  • Follow Player is enabled by default: nearby listeners keep the whole track or album as they move away, including after the source chunk unloads. Unrelated distant players do not receive the music.
  • Uses Endstone's native sound API with a scoped packet adapter for playback offsets, owned sound stopping and dimension changes. Unsupported runtimes disable new playback safely.
  • Adds persistent insert/eject, skip/restart, typed item metadata, full-inventory protection and recovery for single-track and album discs.
  • Retains 0.2.0 operator global playlists, custom jukebox blocks/items, playlist files, bindings and pack identities. Global controls use the shared playback engine; late listeners join at the current track position.
  • Builds streamed stereo and mono assets in a background worker. Source uploads and unrelated pack entries are retained; failed publication restores both packs and metadata.

Install FFmpeg/ffprobe on PATH. Replace the previous Music wheel, regenerate the packs with /cmusic generate, then restart and reconnect clients. See INSTALL.md and docs/ACCEPTANCE.md.

Automated checks cover the native API contracts, packet layout, audio conversion, playback, item storage, migration and custom content. Official Linux/Windows server binaries were verified. Live Linux server integration and audible Bedrock-client playback have not been verified; use the acceptance checklist before production.
