- Voice chat in online and System Link multiplayer: talk to the other players with a headset or microphone.
- Turn it on or off in OPTIONS > PC SETTINGS > ONLINE > VOICE CHAT (on by default).
Table Tennis for Linux 1.3.0
- Watch other players' matches: TABLE TENNIS NETWORK > EXHIBITION, pick a match, SPECTATE MATCH (System Link and online)
- Online matches survive short connection drops (up to about 15 seconds) instead of ending
- The online achievements (The Noob, The Victor, The Spectator) unlock
- PlayStation button icons in all menus with a PlayStation controller (PC SETTINGS > GAME > BUTTON PROMPTS: auto, Xbox or PlayStation)
- QUIT GAME in the main menu
- PC SETTINGS in four tabs (DISPLAY, GAME, ONLINE, UPDATES), switched with LB / RB; almost every setting applies at once
- New settings: VSync, brightness, widescreen and ultrawide picture (wider 3D view, menus kept in proportion)
- Smoother frame pacing: every frame takes the same 16.7 ms
- Choose your player name for online play, and check for updates from PC SETTINGS

- The online server is reached by name, so it can move without an update
Table Tennis for Linux 1.2.0
Online play is live — press ONLINE in the main menu (Play Anyone, or Play With a Friend with a room code). Plus smoother play on lossy links and a shorter serve pause. Update from the in-game popup, or download install-table-tennis-linux-x86_64.tar.gz. Needs your own ISO; no game files included.
Table Tennis for Linux 1.1.1
Crash fix for the Steam Deck
- Fix: the game left a 4.5 GB memory file behind after every session. On a Steam Deck, after a session or two this made the game, and Steam, crash at the next start. The game no longer leaves the file, and the launcher removes leftovers from earlier versions.
- Fix: updates that bring a new engine compile the game from scratch, so a stale build file can no longer make an update fail.
- Online play groundwork: an ONLINE entry in the main menu. Online servers are not available yet; SYSTEM LINK (same network) works as before.
- Cleaner update logs.
Already installed? The game shows an update popup; update from PC SETTINGS. New here? Download install-table-tennis-linux-x86_64.tar.gz and run install-table-tennis. You need your own Table Tennis ISO; this release contains no game files.
Table Tennis for Linux 1.1.0
System Link and a sharper picture
- System Link (LAN play): play against another Steam Deck or PC on the same network. Choose SYSTEM LINK in the main menu: one player creates a match (PLAYER MATCH > CREATE MATCH), the other joins (PLAYER MATCH > QUICK MATCH). See the README for notes on firewalls and internet play, which works but only with low latency.
- FSR and CAS: new SHARPENING option in OPTIONS > PC SETTINGS. CAS sharpens the picture (best on the Steam Deck); FSR upscales it to large screens and sharpens it. Applies after a restart.
- Fix: development builds could not start through the launcher.
Already installed? The game shows an update popup; update from PC SETTINGS. New here? Download install-table-tennis-linux-x86_64.tar.gz and run install-table-tennis. You need your own Table Tennis ISO; this release contains no game files.
Table Tennis for Linux 1.0.0
The first Linux and Steam Deck release of the Table Tennis port.
Download install-table-tennis-linux-x86_64.tar.gz, unpack it, and run install-table-tennis (on a Steam Deck, in Desktop Mode). Drop your own Table Tennis ISO on the window, choose where to install and whether to add the game to Steam for Game Mode, and press INSTALL. The installer builds the game on your machine from your own disc; the other files here are downloaded by it automatically.
What's new:
- Graphical installer for Linux and the Steam Deck; a first install takes about a minute on a desktop PC
- PC SETTINGS in the game's OPTIONS menu (main and pause menu)
- Controller haptics on every ball hit and in the menus
- Game-styled achievement popup with sound and achievements list
- Update notifications and one-press updates; releases are signed
You need your own unmodified USA/Europe retail Xbox 360 Table Tennis ISO (Title ID 545407DF), an x86-64 CPU with AVX2 and a Vulkan GPU. See the README for details.
This release contains no game files and nothing from the disc. tt-toolchain-sources-*.tar holds the source packages for the GPL parts of the build tools.
