Faster, more natural and easier to read.

  • Less delay. The extension hears from the sound level when a speaker has finished and closes the sentence at once, instead of waiting for speech recognition's own silence detection. Measured with the real services, the first translated sound now comes about 1.2 s after a sentence instead of 1.5 s.
  • A more natural voice. Eleven v4 Turbo is the default voice model: as fast as Flash v2.5, at the same price, with a more natural pace. Each sentence is spoken with the ones around it, so the intonation carries on. Settings on Flash v2.5 move to it once.
  • Subtitles in your language only. The subtitle bar shows only the translation; their own words under it are an option in the settings.
  • Live drafts. While they are still talking, a dimmed draft of their words so far shows in the subtitles, translated on your computer by Chrome's own translator, for free.
  • Clearer free translation. Everyday meeting phrases are put in plain words before Chrome's translator, so "Let's touch base on Monday" no longer comes out word for word, and your special terms keep their spelling.
  • Readable subtitles. Each line stays long enough to read, at most two at a time.
  • The Haiku 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 translation models skip extended thinking, so the first word comes sooner.

Update: download meet-interpreter.zip below, replace the contents of your meet-interpreter folder with it and press reload on the extension's card in chrome://extensions. Your settings and voice stay.
