Booth Manager 2.4.1

Booth Manager 2.4.1 collects everything since 2.3.1. The chat was rebuilt, it pops out into its own window, markdown works properly now, the composer is new, and Analytics finally has real charts behind it.

Chat workspace, rebuilt

• Room rail with its own search plus an All rooms or Favorites filter, and star and mute markers on every room.
• Message search across text, people and files, with All, Mentions, Files and Mine filters.
• Members panel and Shared files panel for whichever room you are in.
• Day dividers, messages grouped by sender, quote to reply, and mention autocomplete.
• Moderators can lock or unlock a room, and the feed tells you when it is showing an offline snapshot.

Pop the chat out

• Pop out moves the chat into its own window. Dock chat brings it back, and closing the window docks it instead of throwing the conversation away.
• Only one pop out can exist at a time. Pressing the button again focuses the window you already have.
• Reloads and stray navigation are blocked inside that window, so a room never resets under you.
• Background throttling is off, so messages keep arriving while the window sits behind something else.

Full markdown

• Headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code and fenced code blocks with syntax highlighting.
• Bullet, numbered and task lists, quotes, tables, rules, footnotes and collapsible details blocks.
• Single line breaks are preserved, so pasted text looks the way you typed it.
• Everything is sanitized. Only http, https and mailto links, images over https, and scripts, iframes and embeds are stripped.
• Mentions still highlight and search hits still get marked inside rendered markdown.

A real composer

• Toolbar for bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code, links, headings, bullet, numbered and task lists, quotes, code blocks and tables.
• Shortcuts for Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I, Ctrl+Shift+X and Ctrl+backtick.
• Live markdown preview, a 1200 character counter, and attachments that warn you about risky file types.
• Choose whether Enter sends or Ctrl+Enter sends.
• The box grows with your draft, and your draft and cursor survive popping the chat out and docking it again.

Chat settings, saved per account

• Comfortable or compact density, small, medium or large text, and 12 hour or 24 hour timestamps.
• Avatars, timestamps, role badges and message grouping can each be switched off.
• Separate toggles for media previews and for loading images automatically.
• Auto scroll and the send sound are yours to keep or kill.
• Notifications set to everything, mentions only or muted, with a per room override, a sound, desktop notifications and optional preview text.

Analytics

• Retained uploads, active versions, reported archive storage and average archive size across the top.
• Charts for upload activity by count or archive size, version status, build performance by metric, and storage by community or event.
• Filter by scope, event and community, over 7, 30 or 90 days, everything retained, or a custom UTC range.
• Export any chart as a PNG and the table as a CSV.
• A resource check measures the latest upload against the event budget, and missing measurements are never drawn as zero.

Tools and interface

• New Texture Atlas page for packing booth textures, reachable straight from the resource check.
• The QR page, standee and 3D booth viewer all got a pass, along with admin tickets and the alley dashboard.
• Command palette on Ctrl+K jumps to any page.
• Corners are less rounded across the whole app and the message bubbles were tightened up.
• Pages load on demand and each one has its own error boundary, so one broken page cannot take the app down.

Updating

• Already installed: open Settings and hit Check for updates, then Download and Restart. The app also checks on launch and every 30 minutes.
• Fresh install: download Booth-Manager-Setup-2.4.1.exe below.
• Your sign in, booths and settings carry over.
