Desktop App
The desktop application combines an Electron host with a React UI. It is different from both the command-line program and the hosted Cloud interface.
| Area | What it does |
|---|---|
| Chat | Submit prompts, view streaming answers and grant approvals |
| Agent Cockpit | Inspect a live agent tree, node status and communications |
| Code workspace | Use the file tree, Monaco editor, diffs and integrated terminal |
| Built-in browser | Browse pages, share the current page with an agent or permit controlled interaction |
| Settings | Choose providers, models and preferences; connect to your account |
Download official desktop installers from cascadeai.in/download. Platform packages are configured in app/electron-builder.yml.
The desktop browser can operate on a page containing the user's existing login state. That is different from opening a fresh, unauthenticated remote browser session. The agentBrowserControl switch is off by default and distinct from the older tools.browserEnabled headless tool. Browser actions are subject to authorization and a stop/takeover path. See Browser-Control and Security-and-Privacy.
