zStudio 0.9.7
- One file. zStudio is now a single, compressed
zStudio.exewith .NET included, instead ofzStudio.exeand adependenciesfolder (459 files in all). The ZIP holds onlyzStudio.exe,LICENSE,THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md(now with every licence text) and the Blender extensionzStudio-Blender-extension-0.9.7.zip, and shrinks from 79 MB to 72 MB. The first start of each version unpacks the WPF native libraries (about 8 MB) to%TEMP%\.net\zStudio\. Decompressing the program in memory makes a start about 0.2 s slower than 0.9.6 and uses about 70 MB more memory. Replace an earlier version's folder rather than extracting over it: itsdependenciesfolder is no longer used. - The guides are no longer in the download: Help opens each guide, and the release notes, on GitHub as they are for the installed version. About zStudio shows zStudio's licence and the third-party notices.
- The Blender extension is now
zStudio-Blender-extension-<version>.zip(it waszstudio_recoil-<version>.zip), besidezStudio.exeinstead of independencies\blender; install it from there. Blender still lists it as zStudio RECOIL. It now asks the selectedzStudio.exefor its version and works with the one of its own version, so the ZIP no longer has to stay besidezStudio.exeafter installing. - MCP:
zstudio_helpreturns the installed version, the links Help opens and the licence and notice files besidezStudio.exe. - Update check. The status bar shows Update available (left of Preview notices, also without a map) when a newer release is on GitHub; click it for the release page. zStudio checks at most once a day (Help → Check for updates automatically, on by default); Help → Check for updates checks now. MCP:
zstudio_update_check, andzstudio_statereportsupdate. With it andzstudio_helpthe catalog has 103 tools.
Download the win-x64 ZIP, extract it, and run zStudio.exe; the Blender extension (zStudio-Blender-extension-0.9.7.zip), LICENSE and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md come beside it. SHA256SUMS verifies the download. Game files are not included.
