Administrator Mode for File Browsing — Elevate an SSH connection with sudo to read and write application directories, using passwordless sudo when available or a one-time password that stays in memory only.
Scoped Elevation — Keep administrator mode per connection and per application volume instead of one global flag, so enabling it on one connection never changes another.
Connection Switching — Switch the connection used by an open application file session from the workspace, without closing the workspace or losing other tabs.
Session Restore Tests — Add Playwright unit and end-to-end suites plus backend tests covering elevation, session cleanup and terminal view isolation.
Changed
Application File Access — Choose the platform account or an existing local connection in one dialog, keep the last choice, and reuse it the next time application files are opened.
Terminal and Files Views — Remember the active view per connection, so switching connections no longer switches every other connection between Terminal and Files.
Session Lifecycle — Signing out now closes server-side terminal and application file sessions and clears browser snapshots; sessions that the server no longer knows are marked as ended instead of reported as connected.
Platform SFTP Account — Reuse the existing websoft9-sftp account when it is compliant and pick a websoft9-<suffix> name on conflict, with state files tracked by name.
SFTP Dialogs — Show connection rows on one line, keep the platform account description short and drop the duplicated elevation controls from the application SFTP dialog.
Fixed
Account Drift — Stop application file sessions from silently falling back to another saved connection, such as local or root, after the selected connection was deleted; the request now fails with Host Access Profile Not Found instead.
Host List — Keep the host list open when a connection is deleted from it.
Remembered Connection — Remember connections created on the fly while opening application files, so the next attempt does not ask again.
Session Tabs — Keep the tab strip visible during workspace bootstrap and while a stale session is replaced, so the tab count no longer dips while switching.
Password Elevation — Validate the sudo password before opening the file channel and bound channel timeouts, so an invalid password reports an error instead of hanging.
Elevation Detection — Classify passwordless, password and forbidden sudo states correctly, including interactive authentication is required responses.
Application Volume Access — Create the session even when the directory is not readable yet, and report the permission problem in the file browser instead of failing the connection.
