What's Changed

• Pick from 12 subject colours, including red, orange, lemon, teal, blue and magenta
• You can now also choose from Red, Violet or Rose as your app theme as well as the original colours. Theme colours now animate when you switch themes & dark backgrounds carry more of each theme’s colour
• Browse themes in a two-column grid
• Change a widget’s theme in its popup. Your choice takes effect as soon as you tap it
• Leave widget setup for the home screen and your settings save automatically
• Get readable text and outlines on subject colours, including custom or translucent fills
• See dates in a friendlier format, such as “11th October 2026”
• Get icon suggestions for recognised subject names. Your chosen icon, including None, stays put when you rename a subject.

• Add a 2×1, 2×2 or 4×2 home-screen widget with current and upcoming periods, countdowns and completion messages.
• Match widgets to the app with brighter themes, subject colours, icons, optional outlines and more readable lesson cards.
• Check for stable updates in Settings or enable automatic daily checks on unmetered connections. Update metadata and the installed signing certificate are verified, and Android asks before installation.
• Updated the public-facing documentation and added sponsor support in Settings.

Compatibility

Tempo requires Android 8.0 or newer. Homework and assignment tracking with widget due dates is planned for a future release.
