Kinich 2.0.3-rc.1
Kinich 2.0.3-rc.1 — acceptance candidate
Pairs with Xiao 1.3.0-rc.1. Adds a persistent theme-level switch, guarded peer-theme switching, conditional brand registrations and full visual/interaction teardown. Wallpaper data, history and all motion preferences are preserved. Publish only as a GitHub prerelease and npm next, leaving latest unchanged. Desktop visual acceptance and final release confirmation remain pending. Earlier release notes below describe the previous public baseline.
Kinich Theme v2.0.2
Metadata maintenance requested by the user on 2026-10-16. DSH and optional @deepseek-ai/dsh-settings declarations are now >=0.2.0-rc.2 <0.3.0, matching Xiao and preserving compatibility with the local 0.2.0-rc.2 host. Old 0.1.x declarations are removed.
The 2.0.1 UI fixes and all existing effects, wallpaper assets, history, parameters and sampled accents are unchanged. Specification 1.0.7 records this release and the migration from local file packages to npm installation.

Kinich Theme v2.0.1
Fixes the three issues reported after Desktop acceptance of 2.0.0:
- Ordinary backgrounds no longer draw reference titles, navigation or loading annotations, and do not overlap the visible wallpaper with legacy welcome copy. Explicit browsing/calibration retains complete reference text.
- All six Kinich settings sections have direct navigation and normal scrolling. Jungle, Phlogiston and Sunlit can be selected without resetting other preferences.
- Settings dialogs, alert dialogs, menus, listboxes and popovers use opaque surfaces in light/dark modes, independently of wallpaper visibility. Workspace transparency and existing effects remain available.
Version 2.0.1 and publication are explicitly authorized by the user; Specification 1.0.6 records the scope. Existing histories, assets, parameters and sampled accents are preserved. Verified Desktop host remains DSH 0.2.0-rc.2, not stable DSH 0.2.0.
Targeted settings/renderer checks, isolated headless browser scrolling/opacity checks and exact packed installation supplement the user's reported Desktop results. No Computer Use or cancelled broad regression gate is required for this maintenance release.
After fully exiting Desktop:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-kinich-theme@latestKinich Theme v2.0.0
Kinich Theme v2.0.0
Confirmed by the user on 2026-10-14 after reviewing the latest implementation. This is the final Kinich 2.0.0 plugin release. The verified DSH Desktop host remains 0.2.0-rc.2; stable DSH 0.2.0 environment verification is not implied.
- Complete local Work, Overview, project detail/gallery/footer, About and loading templates, with eight projects and 278 bundled image/font assets.
- Four independent 0–100 wallpaper controls, default 50, with explicit zero behavior; a separate per-Profile enable switch preserves assets, parameters and sampled accents when dynamic display is turned off.
- Local wallpaper creation, selection, recoverable history, current/selected/all export, multi-volume import and exclusive static/dynamic display. Accents are sampled once and retained across settings, theme and history changes.
- Transaction-safe Profile storage and coherent multi-window reads; exports remain complete during clearing and release temporary references on completion or cancellation.
- Wall-clock rhythm timing, correct explicit project selection, frozen About redraws and explicit rendering/data retry actions.
- Existing Kinich/Ajaw effects and settings remain available. Specification 1.0.5 records final acceptance; data schema stays 1.
Source checks and exact-tarball isolated installation/lifecycle checks supplement the user's Desktop acceptance. Cancelled long-running, multi-size, performance and dedicated regression gates remain cancelled.
After fully exiting Desktop, install through its bundled CLI:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-kinich-theme@latestGitHub Release v2.0.0 includes the exact installation tarball, a latest alias and SHA-256 checksums. npm latest selects 2.0.0. Final plugin and host version identities remain separate.
Kinich Theme v2.0.0-alpha.12
Kinich 2.0.0-alpha.12 — Complex wallpaper prerelease
This is a prerelease candidate, not the final Kinich 2.0.0 release. The verified Desktop host is DSH 0.2.0-rc.2; stable DSH 0.2.0 compatibility has not been confirmed.
- Add an explicit Enable dynamic wallpaper switch in section 06, saved independently per Profile. Off stops dynamic display and playback while retaining the selected assets, parameters and sampled accent. On restores the selected wallpaper. Toggling does not create history.
- Static backgrounds, visibility, accent matching and existing Kinich/Ajaw animations retain their separate controls.
- Include Work, Overview, project detail/gallery/footer, About and loading templates with the local eight-project reference assets.
- Provide local wallpaper creation, selection, recoverable history, current/history/all export and multi-volume import. Static and dynamic backgrounds remain exclusive; accents are sampled once and retained.
- Include Desktop transport, footer geometry, thumbnail rail and frozen About-row corrections developed in the preceding candidates.
- Specification is now 1.0.3. The user confirmed the preceding visual/parameter/management acceptance groups; the new enable switch has code, isolated persistence and renderer checks, with Desktop review left to the user.
Build, package contracts, version policy, settings writes, the isolated switch/store checks, renderer harness and clean package installation are the publication checks. They do not claim a real Desktop restart or stable-host acceptance.
Install this candidate with dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-kinich-theme@2.0.0-alpha.12 after fully exiting Desktop.
The npm next tag selects the candidate. The latest tag remains on the stable baseline. Final 2.0.0 remains reserved for final confirmation.
Kinich Theme v1.7.1
Kinich Theme v1.7.1 — Reliability Update
Kinich 1.7.1 strengthens settings, balance and desktop interaction behavior while preserving all 1.7 visual and dynamic effects.
Changes
- Balance checks now track the active API credential, invalidate old-account data after provider configuration changes, and respect the provider's rate-limit deadline, including manual refresh. Both settings and the Ajaw bubble give a localized retry estimate.
- DSH 0.2 multi-field settings changes use one atomic namespace mutation. Older settings services attempt rollback and report when recovery is incomplete.
- Session selection light stays within the session tree. Immersive parallax responds to container resizing and to reduced-motion preference changes after the page loads.
- Ajaw announces its dialog relationship to assistive technology; keyboard adjustment of settings sliders commits after a short pause.
- All existing animations, appearance choices and visual assets remain available. No settings migration is required.

Kinich Theme v1.7.0
Kinich Theme v1.7.0 — Opt-in Immersive Depth
Kinich 1.7 adds opt-in Jungle depth for DeepSeek Harness Desktop 0.2.0-rc.2. It includes the 1.6 navigation, input and send cues and retains earlier Web compatibility ranges.
Changes
- Immersive intensity now gives the existing welcome environment up to four pixels of pointer depth after the page settles. It does not move DSH controls or Ajaw.
- Welcome copy enters in three restrained steps. In conversations, the Immersive ambient layer becomes quieter and pauses its loops.
- The depth effect is inactive when ambient motion is disabled, the page is hidden, reduced motion is requested or the viewport is narrow. No new visual assets or settings migration are involved.
- The 1.6 desktop action cues, stable welcome role selectors, and clear composer layout remain included.

Kinich Theme v1.6.0
Kinich Theme v1.6.0 — Desktop Action Cues
Kinich adds restrained navigation, input, and send feedback for DeepSeek Harness Desktop 0.2.0-rc.2, while retaining the earlier Web compatibility ranges.
Changes
- Welcome layout no longer embeds DSH's build-specific CSS hashes. It still uses a renderer role suffix and is checked against the current bundled Web renderer.
- Welcome copy and the hero illustration now clear the native workspace selector and composer on desktop.
- Selected session rows briefly show a jade edge, pointer-focused inputs receive a restrained outline, and the composer acknowledges a real sending state.
- Reduced motion removes the new animation. Existing settings, balance monitoring, theme tokens, Ajaw behavior and visual assets remain intact.

Kinich Theme v1.5.1
Kinich Theme v1.5.1 — DSH 0.2 Desktop Compatibility
Kinich supports DeepSeek Harness Desktop 0.2.0-rc.2 while retaining the earlier Web compatibility ranges.
Changes
- Adapted welcome-page headline hiding and composer placement to the new renderer CSS classes, including transition and existing narrow-window rules.
- Extended the DSH engine and settings peer declarations to include
^0.2.0-rc.2. - Retained live settings, balance monitoring, Ajaw feedback, theme tokens, reduced motion and existing assets.
