@Xusniddin-devv Xusniddin-devv released this 14 Oct 09:50
  • scenefile record <url> --steps steps.json -o walk.mp4 does a list of steps to a
    page (type, click, hover, press, scroll, wait, go to a page) and saves it as a video
    for a clip scene, with a pointer, click rings, letter-by-letter typing and a view
    that moves in on what is used. It prints when each step happens, for narration. The
    MCP server offers it as record when started with --allow-capture. The
    app-walkthrough recipe uses it.

Install: npm install -g scenefile, then scenefile setup.

walkthrough-demo.mp4 is a signup page recorded with scenefile record, then narrated and captioned in a clip scene.

scenefile 0.3.1

@Xusniddin-devv Xusniddin-devv released this 14 Oct 08:43
  • Fixed: on Linux with the ffmpeg that Ubuntu ships, a clip after the first scene played
    at the wrong moment and was not shown in its own scene. Footage is now placed in a
    way that does not depend on the ffmpeg version, and CI renders clips on Linux.

Install: npm install -g scenefile, then scenefile setup.

scenefile 0.3.0

@Xusniddin-devv Xusniddin-devv released this 13 Oct 06:43

Version 0.2.0 was never fully published (only one of its seven packages reached npm),
so this release carries everything listed here.

  • A clip scene for your own video files: cut, join, fit and mix their sound with
    music and narration. scenefile probe prints the size and length of video files, and
    a sixth recipe skill, scenefile-edit-video, teaches an agent to make the edit.
  • Clip effects: speed, mono, zoom and a blurred backdrop behind a clip that does
    not fill the frame.
  • "captions": true on a clip captions what is said in it, heard on your machine by a
    speech-recognition model; scenefile transcribe <file> prints what is said with times.
  • Two natural English voices, en-emma (now the default) and en-george, from the
    Kokoro model. "voice": "female" or "male" picks one.
  • A Claude Code plugin, and recipe skills for coding agents: explain code, walk
    through an app, launch video, release video, repository tour.
  • scenefile capture <url> saves a picture of a web page, at desktop or phone size,
    for use in a screenshot scene. The MCP server offers it as a tool when started
    with --allow-capture.
  • scenefile github <owner/name> builds a scenefile, and a video, from a repository's
    public facts and the commands in its README. No model is involved.
  • screenshot scenes take "device": "phone" to draw a tall screenshot inside a phone.
  • Five more themes (terminal, ink, mint, studio, forest) and two more bundled
    typefaces (Unbounded, Geologica). Headings and other heavy text are set in each
    theme's own display face.

Install: npm install -g scenefile, then scenefile setup.
In Claude Code: /plugin install scenefile --marketplace Xusniddin-devv/scenefile.

tour.mp4 is rendered from examples/tour.json; edit-demo.mp4 is two recordings cut, joined, narrated and captioned.

@Xusniddin-devv Xusniddin-devv released this 12 Oct 15:03

First version.

  • A scenefile (JSON) becomes an MP4: eleven scene types (title, statement, quote,
    bullets, stat, chart, code, screenshot, compare, outro, terminal),
    five themes, three formats (landscape, portrait, square), six transitions.
  • check validates, measures the layout in a browser, and reports each problem with the
    field's path and a fix; common slips are repaired and reported.
  • Narration made on the user's machine in English and Russian, captions, and a music
    bed that gives way to the voice.
  • Parallel rendering; the same scenefile gives the same video on the same machine.
  • For agents: guide, scenes, schema, a generated skill file, and an MCP server
    confined to one folder.
  • setup, doctor, init, voices.

Install: npm install -g scenefile, then scenefile setup.

tour.mp4 below was rendered from examples/tour.json, narration and captions included.
