TidyByte 1.1.3 (build 10)

Pre-release

@saksham1991999 saksham1991999 released this 28 Oct 13:45

What's new

Faster on large libraries: the first swipe card now appears in about a second, photos load while the app scans, and Storage and Cleanup open much sooner. If your photos did not load, or albums looked empty, TidyByte now tells you why. When iOS shares no photos with the app, or a permission is stuck, you get the exact steps to fix it, with buttons for Settings, choosing photos, and trying again. The Recently Deleted notice no longer hides under the tab bar. Everything still runs on your device: no account, no ads, no subscription.

Commits in this release

  • Ship 1.1.3 (build 10) in place of 1.1.2
  • Reuse resource reads across library scans (#8)
  • Keep library scans from blocking card images (#7)
  • Show the first swipe card without scanning the whole library (#6)
  • Show the Recently Deleted notice above the tab bar (#10)
  • Keep Storage on screen when the library changes during its first load (#9)
  • Ship 1.1.2 (build 9) with the photo-access recovery notes
  • Explain an empty photo library instead of calling it finished (#11)
  • Attach the build before the version joins the submission

@saksham1991999 saksham1991999 released this 28 Oct 13:45

What's new

Now built for iPhone Duo: same cleanup, adapted to both displays. This update also fixes what a full review found: in Arabic and Hebrew a swipe could show Keep while deleting the photo, switching language mid-session could discard deletions you had not confirmed, and several labels stayed in English. Everything still runs on your device: no account, no ads, no subscription.

Commits in this release

  • Bump to 1.1.1, pin the Duo group id, and fix the verify crash
  • Ship 1.1.0 (20 languages) and prepare the app for iPhone Duo (#5)

@saksham1991999 saksham1991999 released this 24 Sep 03:46

TidyByte 1.0.4 (build 5) — from the tidybyte-cleanup-refresh branch.

Addresses all review findings on PR #2 (44 fixes, 239/239 tests passing):

  • Data-loss and destructive bugs: Auto-Clean honors per-group keeps and restores selection on decline; originals are never deleted when their replacement copy is gone; kept-both declines settle durably so a kill cannot delete saved copies on next launch; cancelled orphan cleanup preserves partial IDs; album sheet locks during adds; cancellable card retry.
  • Compression, swipe, and cleanup correctness: main-actor PhotoKit fetch moved off the UI thread; Live Photo cancel vs failure; pending-deletion sizes survive reload; reviewed bursts never return; serialized retry; prune-deferral across scanners; expiring scan counts; badge excludes saved copies; declined copies stay non-eligible.
  • Widget and reminders: byte-level snapshot guard; weekly reminder retries after scheduling failure.
  • Accessibility and copy: preview labels, alert bindings, cache generations, device-neutral wording, media-neutral labels.
