Every release carries
the pja command for six platforms, each built and tested by CI on that
platform:
| platform | archive | notes |
|---|---|---|
| Linux x86-64 | pja-VERSION-linux-x86_64.tar.gz |
glibc 2.34 or later |
| Linux x86 (32-bit) | pja-VERSION-linux-x86.tar.gz |
glibc 2.34 or later |
| Linux arm64 | pja-VERSION-linux-arm64.tar.gz |
glibc 2.34 or later |
| macOS arm64 (Apple silicon) | pja-VERSION-macos-arm64.tar.gz |
not signed, see below |
| Windows x64 | pja-VERSION-windows-x64.zip |
Windows 7 and later |
| Windows x86 (32-bit) | pja-VERSION-windows-x86.zip |
Windows XP and later |
Each archive holds pja (pja.exe on Windows), the README, the license,
NOTICE and the command's manual (CLI.md). Unpack it and put pja
somewhere on your PATH; there is nothing else to install. pja selftest
then checks the binary on this processor.
The same release has, for each platform, the zpaq-std plugin
(pja-VERSION-zpaqstd-plugin-*, see The zpaq-std plugin)
and libpja with the 7-Zip codec (pja-VERSION-lib-*, see
Library and 7-Zip).
SHA256SUMS, in the same release, has the checksum of every file:
sha256sum -c --ignore-missing SHA256SUMS # Linux
shasum -a 256 -c --ignore-missing SHA256SUMS # macOSOn Windows, Get-FileHash pja-VERSION-windows-x64.zip in PowerShell (or
certutil -hashfile FILE SHA256 in cmd) and compare by eye.
The binaries are not signed, so Gatekeeper stops the first run. After unpacking:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine pjaAnything FreePascal 3.2 targets should build; see Building. The
streams are the same bytes on every platform: a .pja made on one opens on
any other.
