|
The Hexblade patron automatically adds all modded spells with matching Hexblade spell tags to its bonus prepared spell list, resulting in an overly bloated and messy spell pool for Hexblade Warlocks. |

This is a mod conflict — your Hexblade progression has been overwritten by another mod. Some background on how patron spells actually work. There are two different mechanisms in
Vanilla BG3 uses This mod does not work that way. Following the 5.5e rules, the Hexblade patron grants only its specific handful of subclass spells via So what you're seeing is another mod overriding the Hexblade This mod is not built to run alongside other content mods. It rewrites the class, subclass and spell structures wholesale to follow the 5.5e rules, so any mod that also edits To confirm: remove your other content mods and check the Hexblade list. It should grant exactly its intended spells and nothing else. If it's still bloated with this mod on its own, post a screenshot and I'll take another look. |

Separately — a request about your titles. This is your second post titled just "Bug report" (see #1060). A title like that carries zero information: it doesn't say which class, subclass, spell, or feature is involved, so it's useless for search, for linking related reports, and for anyone else hitting the same problem later. Please use a title that names the actual subject. For this one, something like "Hexblade patron spell list is bloated with modded spells" would have been fine. Future posts with a generic title will be closed without investigation. Thanks. |

I've retitled this from "Bug report" to "Hexblade patron spell list is bloated with modded spells" so it's searchable and reflects what the post is actually about. Please title your own posts this way going forward. |

The official Rogue subclass Thief is missing in the subclass selection interface |

That's an unrelated topic — please don't stack it onto this thread. This post is about the Hexblade patron spell list. A missing Rogue subclass is a different problem with a different cause, and burying it in someone else's thread means it can't be searched, tracked, or closed on its own. Open a new discussion for it, with a descriptive title (e.g. "Thief subclass missing from Rogue subclass selection") and the list of other mods you have installed. I won't be answering it here. |

On the Thief report — that one was ours. The Thief subclass GUID was missing from the Rogue level 3 The rest of this thread still stands: the Hexblade spell list bloat is a mod conflict, and unrelated reports belong in their own posts. |

Disabling the spell mods isn't enough, and that's the part being missed. Spells are not the problem. The problem is anything that touches So the rule is simple: do not use this mod together with any mod that modifies To be clear about where this stands: this is not a new report. This same conflict has been reported well over a dozen times, and I fully understand the mechanism behind it. It is not a bug in this mod and there is nothing on our side to fix — you have to choose one mod or the other. If you want it verified rather than argued: remove every other content mod, not just the spell ones, and check the Hexblade list. If it's correct then, the conflict is confirmed, and you can add mods back one at a time to find which one you need to drop. |
