Thanks for the report. Two things are worth checking here — neither of them is the split-screen setup. 1. Class and level requirements This mod restricts spell scroll usage by class and by level. A scroll is not universally castable by every spellcaster: each one is limited to the classes whose spell list the spell belongs to, and your character has to be high enough level to cast a spell of that level. So a Wizard can fail to cast a scroll simply because that spell isn't on the Wizard list, or because the character's level is below the requirement. All of this is documented in-game — every scroll's tooltip states which classes can use it and what it requires, so you can check any specific scroll directly from its description. 2. When the scrolls entered your save Since commit The side effect is that scroll items which already existed in the world before the mod was installed keep the spell binding they were created with. They still open the casting view and show the confirmation, but the cast resolves to nothing. Scrolls created after the mod is active are built from the updated templates and cast normally.
Could you confirm whether the tooltip lists Wizard as a usable class, and whether the failing scrolls are ones you were already carrying before adding the mod? If a freshly looted scroll that your character is eligible for also fails to cast, that's a separate problem and I'll look into it further. |
