Launches

  • A launch takes the variables your harness's alias sets. With alias claude='AWS_PROFILE=claude CLAUDE_CODE_USE_BEDROCK=1 command claude', sessions cones starts now go to Bedrock the way a typed claude does, instead of the native login. Only the NAME=value words the alias starts with are taken; its flags are not.
  • A session reopened through Claude's background daemon still runs on the daemon's own environment. To cover every launch, put provider variables in the env block of ~/.claude/settings.json.
