TabMail v1.0.0 Alpha

Switch Tabs, Not Apps.

This is the initial alpha release of TabMail, bringing a browser-like, tabbed interface to Windows email management. This build establishes the core UI and multi-account POP3 architecture.

What is Included

  • Browser-Style Navigation: Open and manage multiple emails simultaneously in native tabs.
  • Multi-Account Switching: Instantly swap between configured email accounts directly from the UI.
  • Persistent Layout States: The hide/show state of the email list panel is remembered as you move across different tabs.
  • List View Enhancements: Message cards now feature a compact vertical layout for readability and include direct attachment indicators.
  • Header Caching: Local caching is implemented for faster email list fetching and loading.

Known Limitations

  • Inline image attachments may fail to render in specific HTML structures.
  • Message sorting and month-based grouping are pending implementation.
  • Outgoing mail features (reply and compose) are currently in active development and not yet functional.

System Requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit).
  • Requires WebView2 and the Windows App SDK Runtime (both are handled automatically by the installer).
