Version 1.1.54, versionCode 57, November 3, 2026, following 1.1.53 (56). PR #147 carries d321f29; the signed bundle zennotes-1.1.54-vc57.aab (40,099,511 bytes, SHA-256 7dec37d8825c5525c570e8744ad708b7103a4f6b52de4325f9a9a8d4adffced9) is built from ceaad7d, merged as 5aa7d6a with the same tree.

What changes on the phone

  • Home names the open vault (#143). A chip at the top right shows the vault you are in, and one tap opens your vaults. A long name truncates. The top of Browse still does both.
  • A database Board's columns can take a color. A long press on the column opens its menu with Color…, even when the column is empty, and the Table's chips use the same color.

Under the hood

Core core-2.82.0-core.h7fbea7b1c6714eb0 was built by CI from ZenNotes/zennotes 6ea4775a, the desktop v2.82.0 tag; core:adopt checked its provenance. The bridge contract adds no method used here: import and opening a vault's folder are desktop features, and their commands stay hidden on the phone. Core's new way back to a hidden sidebar is hidden on the phone layout too.

Validation

  • npm run upstream, npm run typecheck, 500 JavaScript tests, npm run build and npx cap sync android passed; bundleRelease was signed with the upload key on JDK 21, and the bundle reads md.zennotes 57 / 1.1.54, min 24, target 36.
  • CI on #147: the build job and the emulator launch job passed (run 41713971433).
  • Walked on an Android 17 emulator (WebView 145) with generic data and real taps, on a debug build, not on the signed bundle: onboarding, the vault chip with a long name and a vault switch, New Kanban with column colors and the Table chip, dark and light themes, the palette, Settings, a note edit, Tasks and Browse. The tablet layout and remote vaults were not walked.

Play Console submission

1.1.53 (56) is live. Production, Create new release: the AAB, processed as 57 (1.1.54), no devices lost (12,614 phones, 6,831 tablets), the usual no-deobfuscation-file warning. Release notes inside <en-US> tags, rollout 100%, saved, and sent for review on November 3, 2026.

This release carries Play's signed universal APK from App bundle explorer as zennotes-1.1.54-universal.apk: 40,363,500 bytes, SHA-256 f1d5f542ca3fe86f7dcf9f26ce92a0565bfc0aa40c123b548e0d45522b55e86f, md.zennotes 57 / 1.1.54, min 24 / target 36, signer 9f1af3a4..., Play's app-signing key, no CHECK_LICENSE, no pairip.

How to test locally

  1. npm ci && npm run build && npx cap sync android, then open android/ in Android Studio and run on a device or emulator.
  2. Go to Home. Before: nothing named the vault. After: its name is at the top right.
  3. Tap it: your vaults open. Make a second vault, and the name on Home changes to it.
  4. The circle, New…, New Kanban. Long press the To do header, choose Color…, then Blue: the header shows a blue dot and top edge.
  5. Add a card and tap Table: its To do chip is blue.
