jMetrik 4.1.1 – macOS Apple Silicon package 1.0

This release provides jMetrik 4.1.1 packaged for modern Apple Silicon Macs.

The original jMetrik 4.1.1 macOS application used an Intel-only install4j launcher. This version replaces that launcher with a native macOS application bundle that runs jMetrik using an ARM64 Java 8 runtime. The jMetrik statistical procedures are unchanged.

Requirements

• Mac with Apple Silicon
• macOS
• ARM64 Java 8 JRE

Java 8 for Apple Silicon can be downloaded from Oracle's Java website.

Installation

Download either the .dmg or .zip file below.

For the DMG, open it and drag jMetrik.app to Applications.

Because this application is not signed with an Apple Developer ID or notarized by Apple, macOS may prevent it from opening the first time.

If this happens:

1. Try to open jMetrik once.
2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
3. Scroll to Security and click Open Anyway for jMetrik.
4. Confirm by clicking Open.

Subsequent launches should work normally.
