Python skill 0.4.1 updates maintenance guidance for published Python runtime v1.3.2. This is an independently versioned skill release.

Changes

  • Explain optional MCP Python 3.10+ and SDK mcp>=1.30,<2, preserving the dependency-free Python 3.9 CLI baseline. Distinguish a new extra installation from explicit upgrades retaining the original manager, interpreter and extras.
  • Explain Direct local-listener readiness, directReadyConfirmed:false, unknown fields on older receivers, and bounded opt-in stage/counter/normal-close diagnostic evidence. TLS, authentication, native submission, consumption and ACK remain distinct.
  • Preserve operator-controlled firewall/bind/state and no-automatic-resend boundaries. Separate receiver package updates/restarts and Node Control Better Auth/core 1.7.7 service deployment from standalone/Python package publication.
  • Align English, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese usage guidance and coverage declarations. Preserve historical 1.3.0 feature links and the 1.0.3 account-session policy.

Compatibility and source

  • Skill: 0.4.1
  • Minimum CLI compatibility: 0.9.1
  • Published CLI coverage reference: 1.3.2
  • Receiver codexBin feature floor: 1.0.1
  • Annotated release tag: v0.4.1
  • Peeled source: 263b0c333d539dc4e885b16ae3369a26f33097d8
  • Canonical session-peer/SKILL.md: 27,126 UTF-8 bytes, SHA-256 fdf5697c04f4a37194986622afb3a7966bb02631c128cf18a323e3fbe5ae90ed

Coverage is separate from security currency, optional-feature prerequisites and native permission/writer guards. Experimental handoff remains outside baseline/full coverage. The TypeScript skill's independent metadata/profile is unchanged.

Verification and limits

PR #41 was merged from reviewed head 4e75e6538d2a18d7c2a249e23a9db24303146a90; its tree is identical to the release source. Automatic code and security reviews completed without findings. PR CI and merge-main CI passed, including 41 coverage regressions, metadata consistency, discovery, isolated installation and TS lifecycle checks. Exact merged-source local tag/coverage/diff validation also passed.

Read-only translation review used Antigravity CLI 1.4.8 / Gemini 3.8 Flash Medium, medium effort, on new maintenance and coverage/README excerpts across eight files (146.407 seconds). Codex checked the output against source and refined two Korean phrases; those final small wording changes were checked by Codex, not another model run. Runtime source review used published commit f5e7c49554ff02771990a151e00b52f2abf3df0a. These checks do not establish new native delivery/ACK, live OAuth or operating-service qualification.

Use the existing skill manager for any separately requested installation. Python runtime compatibility-snapshot synchronization is a separate follow-up from this exact published tag/source/hash. Existing runtime 1.3.2 and skill 0.4.0 artifacts are preserved; this release does not deploy services or change installed skills.
