currently the button changes based on what is have active. that is confusing and should be always the same button.
you also only remove the CBA KeyHandler and not the ace action handler.

Sorry, I made a mistake in my first translation : in my tests it was only worked with a secondary weapon.
I tried it again earlier, and it works with both weapons (primary and secondary).

Why switch to the handgun if you have a primary? |
At first, I used the handgun dragging animation only when the allow firing option was enabled. However, some people liked the idea of being able to fire the primary weapon as well. So I kind of kept both options. Should I revert it then and allow firing the handgun only when dragging something? |
No I think this is fine, but as far as I understand, when you have a handgun you automatically switch to it, even though you could keep out your primary. That seems odd to me. |
Ngl I wanted to "force" the new animation a bit because I don't think the player would manually switch to handgun first and then start dragging. 😅 I might just disable the firing the primary weapon option because I'm not sure if it's realistic anyway. (So if you have a handgun, you can fire it while dragging. If you don't have any handgun, then you'll drag with your primary equipped but can't fire.) |
I am confused, you can already fire while dragging in current ACE. And why wouldn't it be realistic, you can easily brace a primary weapon under your shoulder and fire it (less accurately). |
I don't think you can because to dropping is currently bound on left mouse click. |

I removed the auto-switch to handgun thing. The script will now use the animation depending on what weapon the player is holding. (If the firing option is disabled, the primary weapon will be used.)
I reduced the aiming accuracy a bit of the dragging animations (both values were 1 by default):

@Drofseh Yep, for primary weapons I used the vanilla dragging animation where the weapon is under the shoulder (just like in the current version of ACE). See: reference image |
