DBine v0.1.12 installers.

New

  • Flathub: DBine is submitted to Flathub as io.addlayer.dbine. That build includes every driver, DuckDB and the AI assistant's engine, so nothing is downloaded on first use, and Flatpak keeps it updated instead of DBine. Inside the sandbox, the Azure firewall action explains that it can't use the Azure CLI and offers the portal, T-SQL or a terminal, and scheduled tasks are saved but can't be registered with the system scheduler.
  • winget: DBine is submitted to winget on Windows as AddLayer.DBine (winget install AddLayer.DBine once it's accepted), and each new version reaches it by itself. Installed with winget, DBine still updates itself as before.

Improvements

  • New app identifier: DBine is now io.addlayer.dbine. On the first start after updating, your connections, saved passwords, open tabs, assistant chats, settings and scheduled tasks are copied over by themselves; the previous version's data is left as it was, so going back to it loses nothing. On Windows and Linux a large AI model may be downloaded again. On macOS the keychain may ask once for access, and some privacy permissions (such as local network access) may be asked again; on Windows, a taskbar pin made with an older version may need pinning again.

Downloads

  • Windows: -setup.exe (requires WebView2, included in Windows 10/11).
  • macOS: .dmg; aarch64 for Apple Silicon, x64 for Intel.
  • Linux: .AppImage (portable), .deb or .rpm.

Version 0.1.4 and later receive it through the automatic update.

The binaries aren't signed by Apple or Microsoft:

  • macOS: the first time, it warns that it can't verify the developer. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › "Open Anyway", or run in the terminal: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DBine.app.
  • Windows: SmartScreen may ask for "More info" › "Run anyway".
  • Each engine's driver (except SQLite) is downloaded the first time you connect.
