Verity 1.0: Things happen. Keep the proof.

@adityacodeshere adityacodeshere released this 01 Oct 16:14

Verity turns a renter's photos into evidence that protects their deposit.

It's built for Indian students in hostels and PGs, where move-out disputes can come down to "your word against mine."

What's in 1.0

  • Guided capture. A live-camera-only walkthrough covers overview, ceiling, walls, floor, furniture, bathroom, keys and damage. There's no gallery import.
  • Verified evidence. Every photo is SHA-256 hashed on the phone, re-hashed by Verity's server, and stamped with a server time the user can't change.
  • Ownership tagging. Mark each item as Mine, Landlord's, Shared or Roommate's.
  • Sealed records. Press and hold to seal. Each record gets a session hash, server timestamp and certificate number. Sealed sessions are locked in both SQLite and Postgres.
  • Owner review and signature. The owner opens a link, reviews every photo and signs on a canvas, with no app or account needed. The record then reads OWNER SIGNED · VERITY SEALED.
  • Issue log. Record problems mid-tenancy, and the record timeline grows as you go.
  • Move-out comparison. A ghost overlay of each move-in photo helps you match the shot. You compare side by side and decide what differs; Verity never decides for you.
  • Filing Assist. If money is withheld, it prepares a deposit summary, an evidence index, a formal notice and consumer-complaint prep for e-Jagriti. This is preparation help, not legal advice.
  • Android extras. A home-screen widget and a "Log an issue" app shortcut.
