ProfileBar 1.1 adds a lightweight update check so future releases are easier to discover.

What’s new

  • Checks quietly for a new release about 10 seconds after launch when a check is due, then at most once per day.
  • Adds Check for Updates… to the ProfileBar menu for an immediate check.
  • Only shows an automatic prompt when a newer version is available.
  • Keeps installation in your control by opening the signed DMG on GitHub Releases.

The update request sends GitHub the installed ProfileBar version. It does not send Chrome profile names, browser activity, or other app data.

Install

  1. Download ProfileBar-1.1.0-macos-arm64.dmg below.
  2. Open the disk image and drag ProfileBar to Applications.
  3. If ProfileBar is already running, quit and reopen it.
