FAQ
Where do the holiday dates come from? From the open-source holidays library. MarketClock never copies or edits them. A wrong date is reported to that project and fixed there for everyone.
Which markets are covered? The 30 in the library, including NYSE, Nasdaq, LSE, PSX, Tadawul, HKEX, JPX, ASX and TSX.
Why does a market say "not on file"? Session hours and settlement cycles are only shown when an official page confirms them. See Data Sources and Quality.
Is a half day a trading day? Yes. It is listed with its early close time when that is on file.
How is a settlement date counted across two markets? T+n is the n-th day after the trade date on which every listed market is open.
Do I need an account or an API key? No. The API is read-only and open, limited to 120 requests a minute per client.
Is there a hosted version?
It goes live at marketclock.ahmershah.dev in February 2027. Until then, see
Developer Setup or Self Hosting.
Is it related to HolidayOps? Same author and same library. HolidayOps covers country and company working days; MarketClock covers exchanges and settlement.
