Upgrading the gateway from 0.1.4 to 0.1.5

Sandboxes created on gateway 0.1.4 may not start after the gateway moves to 0.1.5. Seen with the Docker compute driver: the sandbox goes to ERROR with Failed to start sandbox during gateway startup: decode Docker sandbox bootstrap for authentication rotation: unknown field 'outer_fence'. This is the gateway's upgrade, not the dashboard: the Gateway page lists such a sandbox under Needs attention as a sandbox error. Recreate the sandbox after the upgrade. The Kubernetes driver was not tested.

Dashboard for OpenShell gateway 0.0.116

A one-off build of the dashboard for OpenShell gateway 0.0.116 only.

Gateway 0.0.116 was the most widely tested gateway before 0.1.0, and it is not wire-compatible with 0.1.x. This build is kept available for installations still on it. It is outside the dashboard's version numbering, which starts at 0.1.0 and follows the gateway's release line; that is why it is named after the gateway and has no version of its own.

What works

Tested against a real gateway 0.0.116 in CI:

• Workspaces, including isolation between workspaces
• Sandbox create, list, logs and delete

The rest of the dashboard is as it was at v0.2.0 and was not tested separately for this build.

Known limits

• Templates are not supported. Gateway 0.0.116 has no sandbox template API. The Templates tab says so, and creating a sandbox from a template is refused.
• It does not work with gateway 0.1.0 or newer. Use dashboard 0.1.x for those.
• It does not show the gateway compatibility notice, which was added later.
• It was tested with gateway authentication off.

Support

No further releases are planned for gateway 0.0.116. Upstream does not maintain that gateway, and it has no upgrade path to 0.1.x; installations on it are expected to reinstall on a 0.1.x gateway.
