Windows Vision Pro Companion 2.0 (5) — desktop app icon
Windows Companion 2.0 (5) for XPPanelsVR 2.0 on Apple Vision Pro.
Adds the existing XPPanelsVR app artwork to the default Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts, Windows launcher and app window, installer and uninstaller. One complete signed installer includes all the existing runtime, media, managed-plugin and optional experimental foveated components.
Close the older Vision Pro Companion, install this update, then use its Desktop shortcut. No headset rebuild or plugin update is needed for this icon change. Capture/control code and protocols are unchanged. The Mac and Quest products are unchanged.
The package is AldoApps self-signed with DigiCert timestamps. Windows does not automatically trust this certificate; see publisher verification. Keep Windows security protections enabled.

Windows Vision Pro Companion 2.0 (4) — complete installer
Windows Companion 2.0 (4) for XPPanelsVR 2.0 on Apple Vision Pro.
One Windows installer includes the private Python/Tcl/Tk runtime, native video/audio/ISCS capture, managed XPPanelsVisionProBridge and optional experimental curved foveated sender with app-private CloudXR/Stream Manager runtime components. No separate Python, compiler or SDK download is needed.

- EFB ISCS discovery/opening, one-shot activation and idle-desktop cursor placement; saved sharing opt-out.

- One website update check at launch plus Help → Check for updates. No headset heartbeat or installed-headset-version detection.
The Companion/installer is build 4; bundled capture/control components remain build 3. The headset 2.0 app comes separately from the App Store. X-Plane, ToLiss, Windows media/.NET components and GPU drivers are prerequisites. Automatic ISCS identification needs Windows English OCR; manual selection is available.
Install
- Download the EXE and verify its SHA-256 and signature using the official verification guide.
- Close X-Plane and the older Vision Pro Companion, then install the per-user Windows app.
- In Plugin Setup, select X-Plane.exe and explicitly install/update the bundled Vision Pro plugin with X-Plane closed. Existing managed plugins receive verified backups.
- Launch your flight normally. Start sharing, prepare the detached windows, then connect XPPanelsVR over your private Wi-Fi network. Optional foveated mode stays experimental and opt-in.

Signing and test evidence
The installer, embedded uninstaller and owned native components are signed with the developer-controlled AldoApps XPPanels Preview self-signed certificate and DigiCert timestamps. Windows does not automatically trust this publisher; SmartScreen or unknown-publisher warnings may appear. This is not CA-trusted Windows signing or Apple notarization. Public certificate and checksums are provided. Keep Windows security protections enabled; trust-store changes are not required.
132 offline Python regressions, isolated installer lifecycle checks, 11 website checks, payload hashes and a static import inventory of 118 native files passed. No clean-machine, every-GPU or fresh headset acceptance is claimed. Experimental quality/latency/geometry still needs individual qualification.
The previous Windows 0.3.1 preview and existing Mac downloads remain available. Quest apps/plugins/settings are separate and unchanged. The package contains redistributable runtime components and notices, without personal settings or simulator/aircraft assets.
XPPanelsVR Companion 2.0 (3) - Notarized Mac installer
XPPanelsVR Companion for Mac 2.0 (3)
Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple. The notarization ticket is stapled and Gatekeeper verification passed. macOS 15 or later; universal Apple silicon/Intel binaries. Intel runtime is not yet qualified.
For the matching XPPanelsVR 2.0 (3) headset app and bundled Vision Pro plugin. The headset update has been uploaded to Apple but is not yet released on the App Store. The existing 0.1.2 Mac installer remains available for the earlier App Store release and rollback.
Includes updated hand-flight plugin support, consent-based ISCS preparation and remote input, optional X-Plane audio, improved instrument setup/recovery, and a product-specific uninstaller. Companion, uninstaller and plugin identify as version 2.0, build 3. ISCS and hand-flight protocol versions remain 1.
Installation:
- Quit X-Plane, then Companion, before running the installer.
- Open Companion and choose Setup > Install / Update Plugin with X-Plane still closed.
- Reopen X-Plane, grant required capture permissions, and approve the headset on your trusted private network.
Installing the Mac application does not itself replace the simulator plugin. Permissions may need renewed approval after a signing identity change. Quest uses separate applications and plugins; Windows assets are unchanged.
Verification: Companion source regression checks, expanded package payload/signature checks, Apple notarization, ticket validation and Gatekeeper assessment passed. Notarization submission: 737b2b11-12de-4a30-86df-177047a0e47f. Clean-Mac installation, Intel runtime and sustained headset qualification remain separate checks. No existing live installation was changed for publication.
This package retains its bundled preview terms and qualification notices. Notarization is not App Store approval or a guarantee of compatibility/security. For personal entertainment, not certified training or real aviation. Simulator and aircraft licences are separate. Use only a trusted private network; local streaming/control protocols do not add transport encryption. Foveated Curved Screen remains Experimental and requires the separate compatible Windows sender, not this Mac package.

Windows Vision Pro Companion 0.3.1 — full testing preview
Complete Windows installer for XPPanelsVR on Apple Vision Pro. This is a testing preview, separate from Quest and the existing Mac download.
The 21.0 MB per-user EXE includes Companion, its private Python/Tcl/Tk runtime, native instrument/media capture, the managed XPPanelsVisionProBridge command plugin, offline setup guide, dependency manifest and component notices. No compiler, Python installation, ADB or developer SDK download is needed.
The optional experimental curved foveated sender and its application-private CloudXR Runtime 6.2.3, Stream Manager 6.1.0, OpenXR loader, managed libraries and VC runtime dependencies are included. Review the bundled NVIDIA terms before opting in. Compatible NVIDIA hardware/drivers and a matching Vision Pro receiver are required. It does not install an audio driver/service, alter global OpenXR selection, or enable X-Plane native VR. Use the separate 55010 endpoint, never native stereo 55000. If the headset has no Foveated Curved Screen option, use standard video and contact support for preview compatibility; the Windows installer cannot update the headset app.
Signing: free self-signed AldoApps certificate with timestamps. Windows does not automatically trust this publisher; this is not CA-trusted or Microsoft Store signing. Compare SHA256SUMS and inspect the supplied public certificate. No trust-store import is required; do not disable Windows security protections.
Install: save/close X-Plane and close Companion before updating. Install the EXE, open the new Vision Pro shortcut, select X-Plane.exe and explicitly Install / Update the bundled Vision Pro plugin while X-Plane is closed. Use Custom JSON UDP 49002 and media TCP 49200. No sharing, simulator, monitor, driver or plugin change occurs automatically at installer completion. Quest files/settings and the Mac package remain independent.
Checks: 84 Python tests, 3 plugin suites, 3 session-isolation tests, signed-installer extraction/overwrite/removal fixture, standard/experimental UI startup, payload hashes, preserved capture/sender code sections after signing, and 118 PE import inventories. The unchanged native capture baseline previously passed 8 synthetic media suites. No current flight was operated or restarted during these tests.
Limits: current production headset input/ISCS/audio acceptance, new static-CRT plugin loading inside X-Plane, clean PCs/GPUs and sustained Wi-Fi/foveated performance remain unverified. No native Windows transport profile or receiver PC-reconnect poller is assumed. Use Reconnect inside the headset. Experimental sender geometry remains fixed at 11.6 m / 160° for the recorded FO comparison; no arbitrary live seat/geometry synchronization is claimed.

XPPanelsVR Companion 0.1.2 - Mac installer
Official Mac companion for XPPanelsVR
Install Companion on the Mac running X-Plane to connect simulator controls, instrument displays and Outside View to XPPanelsVR on Apple Vision Pro.
Signed and notarized
The installer is Developer ID signed by Aldo Mendes Martins (AldoApps), notarized by Apple, and includes its notarization ticket. Signature, stapling and macOS Gatekeeper checks passed. Install normally with macOS security protections enabled. XPPanelsVR is distributed separately through the App Store; Companion notarization is distinct from App Store review and is not a performance guarantee.
Requirements and setup
Requires macOS 15 or later, X-Plane 12, a separately licensed ToLiss A320 and XPPanelsVR on Apple Vision Pro. The tested reference configuration is Apple silicon, X-Plane 12.4.3 and ToLiss A320 v1.2.1. The binary is universal, but Intel compatibility has not been verified. Other simulator and aircraft versions are not part of this verified configuration.
Companion guides you through plugin installation and macOS permissions. Screen Recording shares simulator windows; optional Accessibility access sizes and places instrument windows. No separate DeskPad, BetterDisplay or WebFMC installation is required.
Connect on a trusted private network with devices you control. Video travels directly between devices, not through an AldoApps cloud streaming service. Local HTTP/UDP communications are not transport-encrypted; private networking does not itself encrypt them. Avoid public or shared hotel networks and do not forward simulator or bridge ports to the internet.
