This release improves the tattoo and piercing consent forms with clearer feedback, better button contrast, and a lightweight barrier against basic spam bots.
What’s new
- Clear submission feedback: translated success and error notices now appear directly below each form’s title, with consistent spacing and familiar green/red styling.
- Improved button contrast: button text stays white, while ordinary links remain customizable through Divi.
- Shared honeypot protection: both forms reject submissions containing a filled trap field before processing personal data or consuming submission attempts. Works without JavaScript and accepts older cached forms that omit the field.
- Updated admin menu: Piercings now appears first, followed by Tattoos, Backups, and Settings.
Recent improvements at a glance
- Added translated minority badges to both administrative lists and record details.
- Introduced guardian authorization templates configurable separately for French, German, Italian, English, and Spanish.
- Added age validation requiring users under 18 to declare their minority.
- Clarified that minors must bring a paper authorization completed and signed by their legal guardian.
- Removed address, city, and postal code collection, including the corresponding database columns and historical values.
- Introduced a mobile-friendly default design with locally bundled Roboto, larger controls, and improved spacing.
- Refined administrative headings and consent button wording.
- Added downloadable QR posters and tattoo/piercing aftercare documents.
Validation and compatibility
Validated with PHP regressions, responsive browser checks, and isolated WordPress/MySQL integration tests. Existing nonce checks, consent validation, signed document evidence, and submission limits remain in place.
The honeypot targets basic bots; automated clients that leave it empty or omit it can bypass this barrier.
