Openbox 0.1.2
Openbox is a DJ library and USB manager for Linux, Windows and macOS.
- Linux downloads now use AppImage, with the Openbox launcher and icon.
- AppImage updates replace the outer application file and restart with the same library arguments.
- Product copy uses neutral USB library descriptions.
- Packaging preserves the licence inventory supplied by the source build.
Downloads: Linux x86_64 AppImage, Windows x86_64 ZIP, and macOS app bundles for Apple silicon and Intel. macOS requires version 15 or later. FFmpeg and ffprobe remain required. Windows also requires the Microsoft Visual C++ x64 runtime. Downloads are unsigned; Mac apps are not notarized.
On Linux, make the AppImage executable and open it. Keep it in a writable folder for updates. Use --appimage-extract-and-run if FUSE is unavailable. The Linux tarball is retained solely for existing updater compatibility; new installations should use the AppImage.
The source download includes locked Cargo dependencies, FFTW and the AppImage runtime sources and licence notices. SHA256SUMS covers every download.
Openbox 0.1.1
Openbox is a native DJ library and USB manager for Linux, Windows and macOS.
- Organize tracks, nested playlist folders and bulk selections.
- Browse existing DJ USBs, copy playlists in either direction, replace playlist entries and remove playlists.
- Export traditional Device Library and OneLibrary databases together, with BPM, constant-tempo beat grids, keys, metadata, artwork and waveform files.
- Preview with two decks, beat/BPM sync, EQ, channel faders and a crossfader.
- Use light or dark appearance, materials, accents and matching waveform variants.
- Download verified application updates from the footer and restart with the same library arguments.
Downloads cover Linux x86_64, Windows x86_64, Apple Silicon and Intel Mac. Mac apps require macOS 15 or later. Install FFmpeg and ffprobe separately, including the libmp3lame encoder. Windows also requires the Microsoft Visual C++ x64 runtime. Downloads are unsigned and Mac apps are not notarized.
XDJ-1000 playlist visibility has been confirmed on hardware. Full playback, grid/quantization behavior and other player models remain unverified on physical hardware. Format parsing, paired-database recovery and native software behavior are covered by automated and isolated desktop checks.
The source archive includes locked Cargo dependencies and FFTW source. SHA256SUMS covers every download. Original Openbox source is MIT; GPLv3 terms apply to the combined executable. Licensing details accompany the downloads.
