Harno 0.5.0 (70)
Download: Harno.dmg · macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel
What's new
- New: Harno now downloads as a disk image (Harno.dmg): drag Harno onto the Applications folder right in its window.
- New: if Harno is opened from anywhere other than Applications (for example straight from Downloads), it offers to move itself there and relaunch. From Applications it can update itself, and Accessibility access isn't lost.
Install
- Open Harno.dmg and drag Harno to Applications. If you're updating, quit the app first: menu bar icon → Quit.
- Open Harno from Applications. It's notarized by Apple, so macOS only asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet — click Open.
- Turn on Harno in Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then connect a model: start LM Studio or Ollama, or add an API key in Settings → Models.
Already have Harno? Use Update in Settings → General or in the menu bar menu: the app downloads the new version and relaunches, keeping your settings, keys and permissions.

What's new
- New: a short intro on first launch. It walks through granting Accessibility access, connecting a model (LM Studio and Ollama are found automatically; DeepL and cloud keys go in Settings) and trying a style on a sample text.
- New: "Getting started…" in the menu bar menu opens the intro again at any time.
- Improved: if LM Studio isn't installed, Harno picks Ollama or a cloud model you've added as the default.
- Improved: "Grant Accessibility access" in the menu now opens the intro's access step with the live status and the remove-and-add-again hint.
Install
- Unzip the archive and drag “Harno.app” to Applications. If you're updating, quit the app first: menu bar icon → Quit.
- Open the app. macOS will say it can't verify the developer because the build isn't notarized by Apple. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway, or run in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Harno.app" - On first install, turn on Harno in Privacy & Security → Accessibility and enter your API keys in Settings → Models.
If Settings → General already shows a Check for updates button, use it instead: the app downloads the new version and relaunches, keeping your settings, keys and permissions.
Harno 0.5.0 (66)
Download: Harno.zip · macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel
What's new
Harno is now notarized by Apple.
- A downloaded copy opens without the "can't verify the developer" warning.
- After this update macOS asks once more for Accessibility access and for access to your API keys in the Keychain (choose Always Allow). If Harno is already switched on in Accessibility but still asks, remove it with − and add it again.
- Coming from 0.5.0 (61) or earlier? The in-app update stops with "signed with a different certificate". Download Harno once from https://harno.tehnokrat.ua and replace the copy in Applications — your styles and settings stay.
Install
- Unzip the archive and drag “Harno.app” to Applications. If you're updating, quit the app first: menu bar icon → Quit.

What's new
- Improved: the app checks for updates once a day through Harno's own server, which counts only how many checks happen each day — no IP addresses or identifiers. If the server is unavailable, the app asks GitHub directly.

What's new
- Fixed: ⌘1–⌘9 could run an outdated copy of a style — for example, Reply to customer said there were no documents after you had added them, while clicking the button worked.
- Customer replies no longer start with a note about which language the reply is in.

What's new
- New: Ollama support. Install Ollama from ollama.com, download a model (for example ollama pull qwen3.5:9b), and choose Ollama in the model menu at the bottom of the window or in Settings → Models. Text stays on your Mac, and Ollama works on Intel Macs too.
- Long texts and knowledge bases are sent to Ollama with a matching context size, so they aren't cut short.
