Highlights

• Use Latch from the command line. The new latch command lets you use connections already configured in Latch from a terminal, scripts, Claude Code, opencode, and other tools—without exposing saved passwords.
• Control access per connection. In Settings → Command line, install the command and choose whether each connection is hidden, read-only, or allowed to run writes.
• Discover as you go. Run latch help for a guided overview, or use connections, databases, objects, describe, and query to explore and work with a database.

Improvements

• Query output supports human-readable tables plus JSON and CSV for scripts and agents.
• Object discovery supports filtering, schema and type selection, and pagination for large catalogs.
• Read-only queries are protected by dialect-aware SQL checks and database-level safeguards where supported.
• Command-line queries include configurable timeouts, row limits, and long-value truncation to keep output manageable.
• Errors now suggest likely commands and options, and database-selection failures point to the next useful command.

Fixes

• PostgreSQL primary-key and constraint columns are now interpreted correctly when returned as name arrays.
• Connection settings are saved atomically so another Latch process cannot read a partially written file.

Getting started

After installing this release, open Settings → Command line, click Install, and enable the connections you want to use. Then run:

latch help
latch connections

Latch builds are currently unsigned, so macOS and Windows may show a security warning when opening the app.
