This release focuses on demonstrating the extendability and reusability of our system.

What’s included in this release
• External Client / PWA Connectivity
• Deployed the web application (with PWA support) at:
https://smartschedulefrontend.up.railway.app
• The external client connects to the existing backend and uses the same API endpoints as the main web app.
• API Reusability
• Reused the existing backend APIs for:
• User authentication and management
• Schedule creation, update, and retrieval
• No duplicated business logic on the client side; the backend remains the single source of truth.

Technical Notes
• Configured the frontend to consume the backend APIs and handle responses and errors correctly.
• Verified that all extended features and API endpoints work correctly with the deployed application.
• Confirmed that the deployed website is accessible and responsive.

New API integrations, libraries, and frameworks
• Added PWA functionality using a service worker and a web app manifest to enable installation and basic offline support.
• Used Axios as the HTTP client library to handle all requests from the PWA to the backend APIs.
• Used React Router to manage navigation between the extended views introduced in this deliverable.

Testing and refinement
• Tested all extended features and API endpoints end-to-end with the deployed PWA.
• Verified that the website is accessible and that the external application endpoints are reachable.
• Performed code cleanup and minor bug fixes to refine the overall implementation.
