Agent Harness v1.7.0

Highlights

  • GitHub Copilot CLI native plugin preview: marketplace packaging, the shared 20-agent/six-skill source, and SessionStart context from the canonical policy and skill index.
  • Configurable per-task Pi model tiers in agent/roles.json, with tier-only package declarations, explicit defaults, ordered fallbacks and task selection. Omission retains each role's configured default model and effort.
  • Token-efficient orchestration guidance and regression fixes for policy/source boundaries.
  • Separate Pi and Copilot CLI installation instructions, and curated durable lessons in the existing knowledge documentation.

Verification and boundaries

The preparation full Bun suite passed: 585 passed, 0 failed, 3 skipped. The final README release-label change was followed by 9 passing focused package checks. This is a GitHub source release; no npm publication, deployment or generated package assets.

Copilot remains a limited native preview, not Pi runtime parity. Pi extensions, model-tier/fallback controls, grants and job lifecycle are not ported to Copilot. Remote marketplace installation, all-role live-host execution, Node 22.19 validation and measured token savings were not established. QMD refresh remains separate from saving knowledge.
