  • New README intro, levels table, and examples (English and Russian).
  • Plugin manifests, llms.txt, AGENTS.md, and the system prompt follow the new positioning.

Added

  • A README banner and a 1280×640 social preview image in .github/assets/.

The rules and the checker script did not change.

v1.0.0: Controlled Language

@amaklakov-droid amaklakov-droid released this 02 Oct 16:53

First public release of Controlled Language, an open-source Agent Skill for clear technical documentation in any language.

The skill makes an AI agent write, rewrite, and review documentation in a controlled language. The rules come from the principles of ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English.

What is in this release

  • Four modes: write, rewrite, review (a report with rule IDs), and respond.
  • Three levels in all languages: 1 Light (about 50% of the rules), 2 Standard (about 80%, the default), 3 Strict (100%).
  • English is the native language of the approach: 39 rules, and the approved vocabulary at Level 3.
  • Other languages: 32 universal rules and language files. Russian, German, French, and Spanish are drafts that wait for a native-speaker review.
  • Project terms: a glossary of technical nouns and verbs in .controlled-language.yml, front matter, and inline markers.
  • Checker script: Python 3.8+, no dependencies, language detection, use in CI.
  • Documentation in English and Russian, and a process for new languages.
