v0.17.0
[0.17.0] - 2026-10-27
Changed
auth reuseprefers a long-lived credential to a browser session. A context
without a working login (its session expired, was rejected or is absent)
adopts a password or token already verified for the same service and
organization, under any scheme: another context's, or one stored for this
service that no context points at any more, paired with the usernames the
service's contexts record. Contexts under the destination's own scheme still
come first and a browser session comes last. A working login, including a
working session, is never replaced automatically. A username undersession
ortokenis now only a label: such a context is checked instead of being
reportedunchanged, and a context on the same stored session no longer makes
the command fail when that session is gone. Checks the command did not make
before run within ten seconds (or--timeout), adopt only when the keychain
itself showed the destination has no working login, and otherwise leave the
earlier answer. A scheme supplied by flag, environment,.envor a credential
variable keeps reuse within it. The decision now comes from agent-cli-kit's
sharedreusepackage.- The
auth reuseresult addsscheme,usernameandnext_steps;
AUTH_REUSE_AMBIGUOUSaddsdetails.candidates. auth login --browsernever overwrites the username a context records; the
captured email is still reported.config set-context,auth guide, missing-credential errors,doctorand
HTTP 401 errors listauth reusebefore any sign-in step when the configuration
file shows that a stored login could apply. A 401 on a session context offers
auth login --browserinstead ofconfig init.- Update the companion Skill to
0.3.11forauth reuse.
Added
auth reuse --from-scheme <scheme>selects the credential stored for the
service under that scheme; with--from-context, paired with that context's
username. An explicitly selected password or token replaces a browser session
even while it works.auth login --browserstops withBROWSER_LOGIN_REPLACES_LOGIN(exit 11)
before opening a browser when the context's password or token login still
works;--replacesigns in anyway and reportsreplaced_scheme. When that
check cannot read the stored password or token, it stops with
CREDENTIAL_STORE_INACCESSIBLEand its host recovery before opening a browser.
