I want to be able to add new items just like tagging on multiple mode only not in multiple mode but on 'regular' select mode.

Please give a more detailed explanation, tagging is already available in multiple mode.

I think what he mean is be able to create items on-the-fly in ‘regular’ select list mode, and not only in ‘multiple’ mode. I also want this. I’ve tried and the ‘tagging’ new item creation only works in multiple mode.

That's fine, I'll remove the restriction that makes it multi-select only. Will let you folks know when I have a moment to do this.

Anything done with this one yet? I think there's a pull request to add this somewhere.
