• Custom volume icon — the server now advertises a 32×32 monochrome volume icon in GetSrvrInfo, so Mac clients show a recognizable icon for the server in the AppleShare Chooser and Finder instead of the generic default.

• Configuration app hardening — username/password length validation against the fixed DB fields, bounded string copies (no more unbounded strcpy), specific error codes propagated to the client, a corrected throughput display, and reliable server-startup polling.
