Nebo 1.1.0
Nebo 1.1.0 release notes
Version: 1.1.0
Language Edition: 1.0
Publication status: FINAL_RELEASE
Latest published release: 1.1.0
Release date: 2026-09-12
Release timestamp (UTC): 2026-09-12T07:14:22Z
Tag: nebo-v1.1.0
Final release publication through GitHub Release is authorized by RELEASE_GO.
Source, SDK, offline documentation, tooling and package archives share the
final public release identity and are covered by release-level SHA256SUMS.
The release line adds bounded public functionality while preserving the
stable public source envelope. Integral overload selection is now executable;
collection reads compose through the typed statement owner. The original
public four-Int array example runs unchanged with result 5.
values.at(index) remains canonical. Compatibility entry
NSR-RES-015-COMPAT-1.0.1 admits a bound immutable Array<Int,4> and one literal
Int index from 0 to 3. It shares the Array type, lowering and bounds policy;
there is no second indexing engine, hidden mode or default deprecation warning.
General indexing, slicing and user-defined indexing protocols remain reserved.
Long call chains no longer repeatedly infer the same receiver for competing
type families. Large sources avoid redundant scientific fallback candidates.
Collection failures and data/stream examples are verified through actual
source values, missing state, ordering, lazy effects and explicit returns.
The compiler human/machine identity, runtime metadata, SDK packages, manifests,
SBOM and provenance derive from one version authority. The SDK supports an
integrity-checked local upgrade from 1.0.1 with retained-byte rollback.
Compiler ABI, runtime ABI, diagnostic schema and language Edition numbers are
separate from the product version and were not bumped for numerical alignment.
Validation covers the original source, migration, metamorphic equivalence,
composition, bounds, reserved forms, targeted governance/grammar owners and
G203/G204 source-to-runtime programs. Public compatibility inventories retain
257 SymbolIds and 157 diagnostic entries; no runtime export was removed.
The public validation entry point is scripts/ci-public.sh.
Only Linux x86-64/System V static ELF is certified. Live display and external
services remain environment-gated. No new external security certification,
signing approval, supported OS or GPU claim is made.
Release assets and verification
This release contains 28 assets, including the five canonical source, SDK, offline documentation, tooling and package archives. Merged main: b4994475febe8762f0bc4a8c30f456a145f8c4dd. Annotated tag: nebo-v1.1.0. Main CI: run 34683999951.
Two clean Git worktrees reproduced all 14 native outputs and five archives. Source restore/rebuild, SDK install/verify/uninstall, authenticated 1.0.1 upgrade and byte/mode-exact rollback passed. Privacy, archive integrity, SBOM, provenance and factual license inventory checks passed; open findings: 0. See KNOWN-LIMITATIONS.md for the supported target boundary.
Download the complete asset set and run sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS. The SHA256 of that checksum file is 965d0222243aca9fb89dd649f2cdf85c85a94ba44718c830d59e2e9b96f8cfde. FINAL-ASSET-MANIFEST.tsv describes payload assets; FINAL-RELEASE-SEAL.json binds its digest to this main commit and CI. VERIFY.md documents the non-circular integrity recipe and source-closure scope. Every asset is downloaded and verified from the draft before publication, followed by anonymous download verification.
Nebo 1.0.1 — Corrective Patch Release
Nebo 1.0.1 — Corrective Patch Release
Nebo 1.0.1 is a corrective maintenance release for the public native compiler
and runtime. It keeps Edition 1.0, the supported target, public API, public ABI,
public CLI and .ni surface unchanged.
Fixed
- Whole-file materialization no longer selects the dedicated Buffer route merely
becauseBuffer.withCapacityappears in a mixed source file. This prevents a
false-GREEN emptystart()body. Console.scan()composes correctly with an explicit return in the same program.- Seven compiler call sites introduced by the corrective path now satisfy the
System V AMD64 pre-call stack-alignment contract. - Permanent regression coverage includes eight false-GREEN scenarios and the
seven corrected call sites.
Compatibility and verification
Nebo 1.0.0 source compatibility is expected. The source archive builds offline
to neboc 1.0.1; the release matrix covers 284 build targets, Buffer, practical
I/O, the C13 atlas, direct native execution and stack-alignment auditing. The
release includes source, SDK, documentation and editor-tooling archives plus
checksums, manifests, provenance, compatibility identity and an SBOM.
The historical nebo-v1.0.0 public tag and release remain preserved.
Nebo 1.0.0 — First Stable Release
Nebo 1.0.0
Nebo 1.0.0 is the first stable public release of the Nebo native compiler and runtime.
Nebo is implemented in x86-64 Assembly and targets static ELF binaries for Linux using the System V AMD64 ABI. The supported 1.0 build requires no C compiler and no libc, and the documented build flow performs no network access.

What is included
The public release contains the sanitized Nebo 1.0 source snapshot and the verified release artefacts for the supported Linux x86-64 profile, including:
- compiler and runtime sources;
- the factual Ninja build graph;
- target and toolchain metadata;
- source provenance and third-party notices;
- source and SDK archives;
- release manifests and SHA-256 checksums;
- installation, restore and verification material.
The public repository intentionally contains one root commit. Internal development history, internal branches and internal tags are not part of the published history.
Integrity and reproducibility
The source archive and SDK archive were restored in clean roots and independently verified. The compiler reports neboc 1.0.0, the supported binaries are static ELF, and the validated profile has no C or libc dependency.
Verify the checksums shipped with the repository and release assets before using the artefacts:
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMSUse the SHA256SUMS file that belongs to the exact archive or asset set being verified.
Supported scope and limits
Nebo 1.0 makes a stable claim only for the documented x86_64-systemv-elf-linux profile.
This release does not claim full support for AArch64, WebAssembly, Windows or macOS. Capabilities that depend on unavailable hardware, external review, another target or a live environment remain explicitly bounded or excluded rather than being silently promoted.
console is the canonical output primitive in the current language surface.
Security and supply-chain notes
The published snapshot and release assets were checked for credential material, private keys, live tokens and private local paths. The release uses explicit manifests, SHA-256 verification, source provenance and third-party notices.
No package registry publication is part of Nebo 1.0.0.
