Configuration

  • Keka version: [e.g. 1.1.24 (3421)]
  • macOS version: [e.g. 10.14.6 (18G2022)]

Describe the bug

I'm trying to compress and password protect a folder in Keka in 7Z format. I enter a password, drag and drop the folder in and save it to my desktop. However, when I try to open it, I enter the password in the field, press open and nothing happens. The window with the password in it pops back onto the screen.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Keka and set to 7Z format for compression
  2. Add password
  3. Drag and drop folder
  4. Save to desktop
  5. Try opening 7Z file with password
  6. Password field just reappears with password filled in but doesn't open file

Expected behavior

Password should have opened the 7Z

Please refer to #477, Archive Utility is not compatible with AES-256, you need to extract the file with Keka.
