I would like to be able to use PyDataFrame from other projects

I am working on PyBallista and I would like to be able to use the PyDataFrame struct rather than duplicate all of the logic, but PyDataFrame is currently private.

Hi @andygrove, we are currently using PyDataFrame and would like to use it to convert back to a datafusion::DataFrame do you have any information / guidance on how to access the underlying rust dataframe?

Can you give me a little more context about what you're trying to accomplish? There is some discussion on this page about the difficulties with sharing data between python and rust when using multiple libraries:

Depending on your use case, it may be easiest to convert your DataFrame into a logical plan or SQL statement and pass that over to the rust code. Again, it's hard to give much more guidance without understanding a little more about what you're trying to accomplish with it.
