Core Improvements

  • Raft Consensus and Crash Recovery
Added a Raft consensus implementation with randomized leader election, heartbeat-based failure detection, log replication, and client redirection to the current leader. Includes transaction batching, write-ahead-log recovery, checkpointing, and snapshot transfer for replica recovery and catch-up.
    (#223, #267)
    — Josh Hutton

  • Smart Contract Concurrency with Thunderbolt
Introduced the Thunderbolt ordering and execution stack with transaction batching, proposal and quorum-certificate processing, and asynchronous commit/execution queues. Its contract service supports account creation, deployment, and contract calls over LevelDB-backed state, with concurrent verification and read/write-set validation.
    (#103)
    — Junchao Chen

  • ReSQL: DuckDB-Backed SQL Execution
Added an optional SQL execution path backed by embedded DuckDB, enabling table creation and SQL queries through ResilientDB. Includes runtime configuration, client and executor integration, a dedicated startup script, and SQL test tooling alongside the existing key-value service.
    (#224, #238)
    — Sudarsan Srivathsun, Ashay Katkar, Aryan Hamine, Tejas Khode

  • Composite-Key Storage Primitives
Added composite-key encoding and decoding, create/delete/update operations, and prefix lookups for LevelDB and in-memory storage. Index entries are excluded from ordinary user-data scans, and LevelDB updates use atomic batches. Includes unit tests and a storage benchmark; executor and client SDK integration remain follow-up work.
    (#254)
    — Shray

  • Ubuntu and ARM64 Installation and Build Fixes
Updated installation to use a pinned, checksum-verified Bazelisk binary on amd64 and arm64, and to stop on installation failures. Fixed modern GCC build issues through explicit C++ headers, an Abseil update, and zlib build configuration; corrected an ARM64 command-line parsing loop in the KV client tools.
    (#264, #245)
    — Toby1009; issue reported by uchandar29

Ecosystem Enhancements

  • ResShare File-Sharing Toolkit
Added a reusable JavaScript client library under ecosystem/tools/reshare-lib, with separate authentication, file, and sharing modules. Includes basic and advanced usage examples, Jest unit tests, and documentation for integrating file-sharing workflows into applications.
    (#244)
    — Devang Borkar
